My organization has offices across multiple states in the US, with collaborators from other countries. We also have many employees who work remotely from their homes or on travel. BlueJeans is installed in all conference rooms and all our laptops (at least research staff) and is the primary way we have meetings across offices and with external collaborators.
  • Video conferencing
  • Allowing different modes of meeting participation, e.g., only for screen sharing, audio-only, and allowing participation through phone or computer. That covers multiple use cases and gives robustness against equipment malfunctioning.
  • Calendar management, e.g., editing an instance of a recurring meeting, is limited to the next instance only, and adding a new participant changes the meeting's title forever.
  • The user interface, e.g., it is not possible to see the full meeting's title if its length exceeds the width fo the sidebar.
BlueJeans is, excellent especially if uses in conference rooms for standing meetings. On personal computers, the interface needs improvement. It lacks some screen control and pointing capabilities that exist in other competing tools. Also, if your meetings' attendees and times may change a lot over time, its behavior may not be predictable.

We use BlueJeans throughout the organization. The marketing department piloted it and we rolled it out company-wide. Because of that, the marketing group uses it most widely. We work in a separate location from the rest of the org, so it's used heavily for split meetings and presentations.
  • The UI is pretty easy to navigate.
  • Integration with the Microsoft Suite is easy - One button click to add it to your meeting.
  • Background noise is often picked up and makes call quality just alright.
  • Some users have difficulty sharing their screen and it will crash the program.
BlueJeans does best when the users are near the mic and/or they are on a laptop - the quality on a laptop is very high. It's challenged when there is a single mic in a large room of people, the technology has trouble differentiating between a speaker and background noise.

It's used across the whole organization. It's very useful for all teams and divisions. It helps everyone to plan and participate in a meeting with as many people as you like. Sound and video are always of high quality.
  • Easy and quick meeting connections.
  • High quality for sound and video.
  • As I'm always using BlueJeans with my phone, if someone calls me, I'm disconnected from the meeting.
  • Sometimes, even if I'm connected to wifi, the connection can be difficult.
BlueJeans is well suited for team meetings, worldwide meetings, and subcontractor meetings. It is less appropriate if an external company isn't using BlueJeans and has another lighter solution, since they will prefer to use their solution and we'll need to adapt to them.

We BlueJeans in meetings with professors and TA's. Sometimes we use it to discuss group projects. We are all located in different places in the world, and BlueJeans helps us all stay connected.
  • Video conferencing.
  • Screen-sharing.
  • Not always the most reliable, especially with screen-sharing.
Group projects are a good use case where we can discuss and share our output. However, screen sharing should be zoomable for everyone to see. Occasionally, the other end would see the screen upside-down or just a partial display of the screen. The audio is good and solid with minimal to no noise.

It is a great tool and is easy to use. However, I am not a big fan of the interface. It is not very sleek and modern looking. The user interface looks outdated. While it is convenient to use, if we can add a feature to take over screen control like Skype has - that would be great.
  • Easy to use.
  • Take over control while screensharing.
  • Add the ability for a user to pin the menu so we don’t have to toggle.
For presentation purposes or conference calls, it is pretty good. We use it day-to-day for our conference calls and group meetings. We often also use it for one-on-one screen sharing. I don’t think it is less appropriate in any way. If it is not appropriate users will find some other form of tool to use.

We use BlueJeans for conference calls and the live stream of workshops. It is used by our conference team and business development team. It helps us to connect face-to-face with stakeholders as well as clients that are unable to attend the live workshops—especially important on Maui, Hawaii where our clients include those on neighboring islands.
  • Easy setup and connectivity.
  • Platform is easy to navigate.
  • Can't think of anything.
Really useful for conference calls and livestreaming—we just use it for a small audience. Suites our needs.

BlueJeans is available across the organisation, but most people dont know that they have access to it.
It's intended as a connectivity tool for an organisation dispersed across a large geographical area, but few are competent at it.
  • Anyone with a web enabled device can access.
  • Generally simple to use
  • Instruction wording is complicated and could be simpler.
  • On my Samsung phone, with average WiFi, its functionality reduces.
BlueJeans works well if everyone is at a computer terminal- less amazing for mobile devices because it relies on the person calling in. An option to call or text a mobile device (or if the program did this automatically) would be best

4Finance is an international company across the EU, Americas, and part of Asia. We use BlueJeans for communication across the whole organization internationally and also for communication with 3-rd parties. All the team - business and IT - are using the BlueJeans daily for regular calls. It addresses all the communication business problems.
  • Calls and video conferences provided by BlueJeans are of high quality. Excellent is also a mobile application for people which are temporarily in terrain.
  • Recording of calls is extremely useful.
  • A mobile application could be better optimized for scheduling calls. At the time schedule calendar is not visible there.
  • When using Polycom end devices, there are sometimes problems when sharing the computer screen by connecting computer to Polycom. Sometimes one has to play around before it starts to work.
Do not find any case where BlueJeans would be poorly suited. It is useful, and the key is the quality of the communication line the whole week - which is satisfactory.

I use BlueJeans to record my lectures and labs for later review or to transmit live for students who are unable to attend classes.
  • Easy to start and stop recording
  • Easy to use for distance purposes
  • Sound is sometimes hard and requires speaking closely in mic.
Transmitting or recording lectures, and can use for labs but more difficult due to movement and not always close enough to mic or able to adjust camera to see lab activities well

BlueJeans is used for both internal and external meetings at our company for when people need to screen share within the same office or are remote. I use the integration with Google Calendar that allows attendees to dial indirectly from an event on the calendar.
  • Integrates with Google Calendar
  • Mobile app for VOIP calls
  • Recording a session isn't easy, and can't always be found even by the event organizer who owns the calendar invite.
  • It's an app you have to download, which causes delays for first-time BlueJeans users hopping on a meeting.
-Embedding in calendar invites for remote employees or customers to dial into a meeting when you're not all in a room together.
-Great mobile app for when you need to dial in while driving/at the airport/in a taxi
-Screensharing
-Recording a call: doesn't work as well

I've been using BlueJeans heavily for screening and interviewing potential hires for our company. The app is quite good and has a lot of additional functionalities that help us do our job more efficiently. We use a built-in scheduler, video call recorder, and one of the main features necessary for my type of work - screen sharing while the video is still running. Unless one of the participants is experiencing a bad connection, the video and audio are excellent, with almost no lag.
  • Integration of the scheduler, video calls and call recording.
  • App and browser solution
  • Sometimes it can take to much CPU/RAM
  • Video quality reduces when the connection is not stable
  • BlueJeans is a great tool for conference calls, scrum meetings, job interviews, exit interviews, even personal calls, basically anything you'd want to do remotely and is mainly job-related. It has a nice and professional look and feels.
  • It's probably not very good for random chatting as keeping it regularly opened can take too much of the computer performance.

We utilize BlueJeans across our entire organization. We have multiple employees that work remotely as well as remote offices. We use the application every week. We used several other packages and have found nothing that works as well as BlueJeans for video conferencing. We do still utilize TeamViewer for remote control of user PCs.
  • Video conferencing
  • Sharing presentations
  • Remote assistance
BlueJeans is excellent for video conferences and dial-in phone meetings. Not great at the remote control.

We are using BlueJeans conference systems as the secondary virtual conference platform to interact with our business echo systems partners, virtual training for the plants.
  • Virtual training of the technical workforce in the plants across the globe.
  • Meetings with the suppliers.
  • The UI can be simplified.
  • The web scheduling process can be wizard driven.
BlueJeans is a low cost, good quality, flatter learning curve, easy adoption of the solution, and browser agnostic.

BlueJeans is being used to provide online classes to rural schools in our state. This is being used across the whole organization. This has provided extra classes for students who otherwise wouldn't have access to them. BlueJeans has been great for our organization!
  • The support is helpful with any questions.
  • I enjoy the additional features to enhance my lessons (whiteboard, annotation, etc.).
  • When I type to annotate the screen shared, I am unable to make the text box larger. This breaks up my words and sentences, which makes it difficult for students to understand the text.
  • Sometimes when I share my screen, the BlueJeans app shuts down, forcing me to restart the call.
BlueJeans has been great for my line of work in education. It is easy to use for all of the teachers and students. I rarely have problems connecting and can hear all of my students clearly. They can also hear me clearly. It's helpful to share slideshows to teach the information to each class. Thank you!

  • It is used across our team of three people.
  • It is used for business development and project meetings with clients.
  • We occasionally use it among ourselves for internal meetings.
  • Video is high quality
  • Sound is good
  • It lacks green screen capability, and I've even spoken with Customer Service and Product, but nothing has come of it. Zoom has it, and I'm tempted to change to Zoom.
BlueJeans needs green screen capability.

BlueJeans is used by much/all of UM for videoconferencing. It has even been endorsed by our health system for securely discussing HIPAA-protected information. I use BlueJeans weekly for multiple team meetings with collaborators across the country; it allows us to have reliable videoconferencing with screen sharing and in-window text chat.
  • Moderator is able to mute other participants when audio feedback/noise is an issue.
  • Reliable
  • Screen sharing can be selected for only a single application, which allows you to keep other windows hidden (even when you pull them up on accident).
  • The whiteboard function is a great idea, but is still difficult to use.
  • I'd like to see BlueJeans allow other meeting attendees to zoom in on shared screens. My team often views spreadsheets together, and it is difficult at times to read the content of the sheet.
BlueJeans works well for conducting team meetings and video interviews. I've even had a professor use BlueJeans to hold study sessions with students before an exam, which he video recorded and shared for continued review by students.

BlueJeans is used throughout our organization. It allows our global and mobile workforce to connect seamlessly.
  • Great picture quality for video conferencing
  • Allows our teams to connect via desktop or mobile app
  • Sometimes disconnects a meeting but it is rare and easy to reconnect.
BlueJeans is suitable for any meeting situation. It's quick and easy to use. We use it for all types of meetings. I cannot think of an example where it would be less appropriate to use.

It is used across the organisation and all departments utilize it extensively. The key problem it addresses is communications within our organisation as well as our external customers and vendors.
  • Video communications
  • Content sharing
  • Dial-in options from more locations
  • A call-back option

I use it when I need to interact with teammates/vendors/customers outside of our typical workflow (Office). I'm not sure how many within company use BJ.
  • Easy to set-up and invite as a moderator since it is embedded into my email as an app.
  • Easy to start the call as moderator.
  • Occasionally as a moderator, I have to re-login. I'm not sure if it's my own PC or other settings, but it is a very minor issue.
  • Sometimes switching microphones/speakers (headset, business speaker, PC) can cause audio issues. I've found setting it up before the call and maintaining that hardware device throughout the call alleviates issues but occasionally have to switch hardware.
BlueJeans is well-suited for normal phone calls or presentations up to medium-sized groups of around 25 people. I have not tried it in a webinar format but find establishing ground rules for microphone usage, chat usage is helpful to alleviate interruptions and distractions with poor connections. It is less appropriate for mobile use, such as traveling without wifi or a strong LTE connection results in low bandwidth mode not providing adequate resolution to view slideshows. Voice calls can occasionally be scratchy, but that is alleviated by calling in separately via cell phone.

It's used by every department across 7 timezones to coordinate every aspect of company activity.
  • good calendar integration / can reserve meeting from google calendar appt
  • simple screen sharing / easy to use interface / good UX
  • variety of views / ability to switch between viewing documents & participants at different zoom levels
  • occasional problems with audio (may be network bandwidth issue)
  • intermittent bugs where clicking a link to launch meeting downloads new version of app & introduces unnecessary delays
Among the video conferencing / document sharing apps i've used, BlueJeans is one of the best. It provides all the functionality that's reasonably needed.

The only thing that could be improved is possibly allowing more than one participant to do a screenshare / app share, but there are ways of working around that (collaboratively editing a google doc in a single shared window, etc...).

  • Good quality video.
  • Some features could be improved.

We use BlueJeans in our whole organization, we use it in meeting rooms and in the personal meeting as well. Our current problem with BlueJeans is the wrong timezone due to the cancelation of DST (summer time) in Brazil. We are facing some issues with it.
  • It's really easy to use.
  • Has a good layout.

BlueJeans is the preferred tool for conference calls for employees at the company and also set as default in all our meeting rooms as the web conferencing application which makes our life easier. All teams are using it for calls with clients, internal meetings and as a great way to connect with remote employees. I have definitely benefited from using the platform to contact my existing and new clients. The sharing option is straight-forward. I have been using BlueJeans for 1 year now at my company and no problems were encountered. Easy to set up and efficient!
  • Sharing screens
  • Set up is easy
  • Connection and quality are great
  • Voice control
  • More intuitive
  • User experience
Conference calls with remote colleagues, external calls with clients, and I have used it for a 2-day meeting with a big client and it hasn't failed at all! I haven't used it yet for a group over 10 people so that could be a good test to see how the platform performs at that level.
