Users of Brex have found it to be a suitable corporate credit card solution, particularly for non-US founders. They appreciate the ability to track spending and collect rewards through Brex, which serves as their main credit card provider. One valuable feature that users often praise is the ability to create corporate virtual cards for different departments and company leaders. This allows for greater flexibility in expense management and provides an extra layer of security. In addition, Brex's user interface is highly regarded for being tech-friendly and more appealing compared to traditional banks. Its intuitive design makes it easy for employees at various levels, including Directors and above, to adopt Brex as their standard credit card service.

One key problem that Brex solves is the mapping of accounting and GL accounts for easier expense tracking and reimbursement processes. By using Brex Cash and credit cards for day-to-day business operations, users can streamline their financial reporting and ensure accurate allocation of expenses. Another advantage of using Brex is its higher credit limit compared to other banks and cards. This makes it a preferred choice for users, as they can make larger purchases without worrying about hitting their credit limits.

Another problem that Brex addresses is the need for individuals to use personal credit cards and submit reimbursement requests. With Brex Cards, employees can eliminate this hassle, as all their business expenses are managed directly through the corporate account. This not only simplifies the expense reporting process but also ensures compliance with company policies.

Brex is widely used by organizations to manage recurring charges, book travel, and process invoices from small vendors. Users appreciate the improved rewards offered by Brex for credit card transactions and find the interface simple to use when viewing charges. Moreover, the availability of both physical and virtual cards adds flexibility to expense management, allowing users to choose the most suitable option for different types of transactions.

Overall, the adoption of Brex has facilitated the expansion of credit card programs within organizations by replacing previous credit cards and enabling new departments and individuals to benefit from the service. Users have also praised Brex for its intuitive UI, which simplifies the process of adding receipts and associating them with recorded charges. With its comprehensive features and user-friendly interface, Brex has quickly become an integral part of many organizations' operations portfolio.

Users commonly recommend the following for BREX:

  • Take advantage of BREX's built-in integrations, which offer a high likelihood of cost-saving. Users find it convenient and employee-incentivizing.

  • Reach out to BREX's support team for responsive and helpful assistance.

  • Consider BREX as an option for business credit card needs. It is a great tool for expense reporting, tracking, and managing spend at scale. It is especially beneficial for foreign business owners needing a US business bank.

Overall, users appreciate the convenience, time-saving benefits, and ease of use that BREX offers. While some users suggest considering more established credit card options like AmEx, they believe that BREX is an excellent choice for startups and small businesses looking for a practical and simple solution for their financial needs.

We needed a corporate credit card that we could get as non-US founders and found Brex to be the right solution. We use Brex as our main credit card provider. More specifically, we use Brex to track our spending and collect rewards. We are also using the rewards that they're offering.

  • Mobile support
  • Blocking transactions

Very well suited for founders who are building companies in the US but are not US citizens. Works like a charm for start-ups who are looking for a cutting-edge product and not an outdated bank! Small-medium teams.

Not well suited for those who are used to traditional banking and prefer in-person interaction or over the phone.
  • 24/7 support
  • Multiple credit cards
  • Rewards
  • No actual impact ROI, but saved us a ton of time
We use and thoroughly enjoy both. One we use as our main bank and Brex as our credit card provider. I'd say they serve different purposes (with Brex we get points), whereas Mercury we mostly use for wire transfers. We did initially start using Mercury because we needed a checking account, but Brex has been nice because of the rewards and the way it works to track expenses and cards.

Brex makes it easy for us to create corporate virtual cards for various departments and company leaders. It's easy to search transactions and it offers good perks from the points for spending. We haven't used the money side as much, but appreciate the tech-friendly user interface compared to our boring normal bank.
  • Create virtual cards
  • Easily search spending
  • Good perks
  • It can be somewhat confusing to transfer money between the credit card and bank side
  • More help identifying areas of overspending
  • More help tracking spending around specific accounts
A great corporate card for startups. Easy to use and set up, easy search and track spending. I would recommend it to tech companies looking for an interface and experience that vastly improves on existing banks. Also great to have a large line of credit compared to what's offered traditionally.
  • Line of credit
  • Easy to use interface
  • Easy to search transactions
  • Easy to track spending by department
  • Easy to understand expenses - improved expense control
  • Able to pre-pay for expenses via line of credit
Brex was one of the first corporate cards. It seems like there are many copy cats out there - hard to know how different they are but I appreciate Brex's customer service and easy to use UI. I think worth evaluating competitors as this market grows, but we're pretty locked into Brex at this point.

We give Brex Cards to various department heads for department expenses and travel. The product addresses the mapping of various accounting and GL accounts of where our spending is occurring. This makes for an easier process than direct reimbursing on personal cards as it is tough to quickly reimburse and be caught up on financials.
  • Quick, easy transactions.
  • Reporting
  • Low Fees.
  • Brex should integrate with reporting financials.
It's well suited in earlier companies to determine where spending is occurring across the board. The only issue is the need for each department head to follow up with memos on what the transaction is. That is an internal problem but there should be some safeguards to make it easier for expense reporting.
  • Charts of Spend.
  • Ease of use across multiple departments within an org.
  • Likely improved to assist with budgeting. I can't compare prices and fees to similar products, however.
I was not a decision-maker, but I believe it's the card reporting analysis that is best for the company.

It is being used across the entire company as our standard credit card service for Directors and above. It solves the problem of individuals having to put things on personal credit cards and then having to submit for reimbursements. Our employees get physical and virtual cards which is nice. We also use it for expense tracking.
  • Physical & Virtual Cards
  • Quickbooks integrations
  • Expense review
  • Their Quickbooks integration just updated and is now a nightmare.
  • It would be nice if I got more fraud review activities for my employees.
  • I want them to go back to their old export system into Quickbooks
Brex is very appropriate if you do not have a centralized purchasing function. It is great to raise and lower credit limits for individual cards. It is great to review expenses that employees have.

It isn't as great for when multiple users are making purchases for the sale department. There isn't a good way to classify that.

  • It saves me time when it comes to expense review
  • It allows me to see who in the company is spending money
  • It allows me to process less reimbursements
Divvy allows you to get hyper focused in on how much individuals are allowed to spend. Honestly it is comparable to Brex, but is more well suited for micromanaging organizational spend.

Brex is good because I am able to give my employees limits that match our budgets and I don't care about micromanaging their spend.

What we initially thought was a simpler alternative to a corporate credit card turned out to be so much more. Initially deployed amongst a small cohort of employees - the Brex program quickly rolled out through our entire organization. It simply is the best software product I have encountered in the last five years. Intelligently designed, amazing marketing and a wide spectrum of features - it now is an integral part of our operations portfolio. American Express should watch out - Brex is the future!
  • Reward points on all spend - especially on software as a service (SaaS) which is a large source of expenditure for our business
  • Expense management system which allows us to intelligently manage all employees
  • Dynamic expense limits to adjust expenditure based on seniority, time of year, tenure etc.
  • Fantastic mobile app to monitor usage and upload notes/receipts
  • Great travel booking system - something we haven't fully utilized yet
  • This is unusual but I struggle to write con's - everything has been seamless so far
  • Perhaps they could improve the UI/UX for uploading receipts when there are multiple photos
Brex is suited to any forward thinking organization. You shouldn't consider any other bank, credit card or institution. I wouldn't be surprised if American Express has already placed a take over offer for the company. I think the card is especially good for a Series B company moving towards later stages of funding as levels of expenditure dramatically increase and such spending can be hard to monitor and control.
  • Realized return on all expenditure through points where previously this wasn't seen at all in the business
  • Ease of use and general increase in employee satisfaction. It would typically take one full day to lodge expenses at previous companies - now it takes a matter of seconds
  • Access to credit at an affordable rate
Brex has been a great choice for our business and truly is a holistic software solution than a line of credit for a growing business. I also like how Brex is continuing to develop more features rather than maintaining a static product offering.
Prompt and always extremely fast to respond. I also think the intuitiveness of their solution negates the need for much support
