What is Todoist?
Todoist is a web-based productivity app to help users keep track of all their important tasks and projects across 15+ platforms and in 20 different languages. Todoist? It's done!
- As a simple and straightforward tool, it's easy for users from all areas of the company to make use of it.
- The free version is usually sufficient, but the premium version is great, too.
- Positive - When small tasks come up via email (like to update a sentence on a client website or to create a new Facebook ad with a new image), it doesn't make sense for me to create an entirely new project or to slip one of these small tasks into an unrelated client project. Todoist's email integration makes it easy for me to create a task and remember what I need to get done. This helps our clients get a quick turnaround on little asks, keeping them happy and increasing our retention.
- Positive - Todoist helps me keep my productivity at an all-time high. While Teamwork Projects gives me the official due dates of big milestones in our projects, Todoist helps me keep track of the small things easily. Since it is so simple, I don't need to fill out a bunch of information to save a task, I just type in "change client email tomorrow" and boom! A task is created!
- Positive - From a personal side, Todoist helps me stay focused on work when I'm at work. When I know what I have to accomplish in my personal life for the day, it makes it easier to wake up, determine what I'm going to do in the morning and what I'm going to do in the evening. Then I don't worry about my personal projects during the day and I don't forget tasks to run my household. I'm not calling places at work to make appointments or getting distracted because I forgot to do something important that needs to get done today. I know everything is noted and marked by day, so I can only check out my work projects when I'm at work!

Todoist: a swiss knife of productivity in the right hands.
- Negative: initial training for users can be difficult and the software does not have a "Wizard"-style introductory phase that makes its functions clear to non-technical users which for us meant about two 1-hour sessions with different groups of people for the general introduction to the software and then a hard-to-quantify amount of individual followup.
- Positive: once users got into the habit of using tags and labels, plus some automation configuration using G Suite, booking company resources has become exponentially faster. For example, booking a meeting room used to be a minimum 60 second process (open GCal, add meeting, select company resource, book meeting room), with Todoist advanced users can do it in less than 10 seconds (Ctrl+Shift+A, "Brainstorming session Tuesday 3pm @TeamA #Meeting", enter)

Todoist: Slimmed-Down and Simple Task Management
- Todoist has helped us stay on top of important deliverables after meetings, leading us to hit our deadlines on a more timely basis using the deadline and priority features while on our laptops and phones during calls.
- Todoist allows me to quickly assign others on my team a task, so that we are able to speak, comment, and complete things more collaboratively, thus letting us fall behind less often on important customer objectives.
- Todoist helps me quickly re-sort my priority lists and deadlines based on new information, requests, and customer updates on a daily basis, which helps me save manual time doing so on other software or paper-based products, and saves me several minutes every day in my work.

A no-brainer for basic task management
- It is difficult to quantify the impact on our business, but I have noticed a huge increase in my personal time efficiency by using Todoist to manage my task list. It takes very little time to add a new task in the moment it comes to me and to account for my task list throughout the day. If I have to reschedule certain tasks, I can do that in seconds.

Todoist for To Do-ers
- Todoist has ultimately been a neutral for me. While I like some of it's features, like e-mail to Todoist or timetracking, there just wasn't enough there to justify purchasing a Pro subscription. I ended up finding similar solutions through Google's Task & Keep products.

Want to be crazy productive? Drink the Todoist Kool-aid
- Todoist helps me manage my own workflow...and that helps everyone else on the team stay on track too, making sure I'm not the roadblock to project progress
- Our team is much more aligned with this tool, to the point where we don't have to waste time communicating in 10 different channels
- Todoist gives me a sense of my own productivity in hard numbers, and the same for my team (plus Karma is fun)
