Overall Satisfaction with Abila MIP Fund Accounting

[It is being used] across the whole organization. We do accounting for non-profits and it helps with tracking grants using resources. We also use the payroll module which is great.

Pros

  • Tracking grant expenses through resources.
  • The payroll module also helps with tracking grants and makes it very easy to post the journal entries for payroll.
  • The flexibility with reports is great.

Cons

  • In payroll it would be great to see more detail when entering payroll - like a grid that shows the calculated gross for each employee salary or hourly rates.
  • In payroll the ability to create 2 separate checks for one employee in the same payroll run.
  • In payroll - to have the ability to gross up a check more quickly.
  • The use of MIP has been extremely positive.
We use MIP to track various grants from multiple sources. We love that feature.
NP Solutions, Inc. - They are awesome and are always willing to answer our questions and help us solve any issue we may encounter.
Have not tried any other software because we have been so happy with MIP.
This software is great for multiple locations within an organization. It makes it great for tracking revenue and expenses by locations and the ability to produce financial statements by locations as well as combined into one.
