Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Adobe Learning Manager is used at our real estate organization across the entire employee base to direct and implement our employee training and compliance program. This spans multiple competencies such as accounting, leasing (sales), marketing, senior leadership, and maintenance. As a real estate company beholden to many federal, state, and local regulations, Adobe Learning Manager helps us keep up with compliance requirements, as well.

Rich and engaging learning experiences that capture employees' attention.
Is multi-device capable so our teams can take classes where it's most convenient for them during the day, especially if they don't have an assigned static workstation?
Allows us to personalize compliance training based on where our employees are at in the organizational chart, competencies, and requirements.

It could aim to be more competitive in the LMS market with regard to pricing, as it is on the very high end.
Customer support is lacking, but we've not needed to use it as frequently.
Slight learning curve (which is ironic) for learning navigation within the system.

Usability

Very usable system for our teams, as it provides an all-encompassing learning course catalog and dynamic user interface that keeps our employees engaged. The system is also usable on non-desktop workstations, which allows many of our team members that are on the go the ability to take their coursework on the device that's most convenient for them.

Alternatives Considered

Vision by Grace Hill

Adobe Learning Manager stacked up very well against the other major LMS system we had considered, which was Vision by Grace Hill. Adobe offered a more dynamic, visual learning experience that Grace Hill could not. Grace Hill, however, was less costly and did offer similar courses and tracking. At the end of the day, the compliance course offerings, customizability, and usability on various devices were the deciding factor.
