Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan
I am a Business Solution Consultant, working for a Anaplan Silver partner 'Voiant'. My primary responsibility is to assist our client by modelling and supporting their Anaplan Models. Currently, I am working on a Sales Performance management use case for our Software client where we build a Anaplan model for Territory and Quota Planning. We helped our client in scoring the accounts, assigning it to correct Territories and setting up quota in more smooth and integrated fashion. this provided them a more integrated platform on cloud which requires less technical knowledge for the business person and helped them with better visibility using Anaplan Apps.
- Business person can work easily without a lot of Technical (Anaplan backend) knowledge.
- Creating reports for the Leadership
- Smooth Integration with various systems.
- I would definitely wish to see a better formula editor for new model building experience
- Ability to reorder content selectors, I had a hard time trying to figure out the logic.
- Ability to open the source module directly from the NUX when user clicks on Source Model
- User friendly UX
- Real time What if analysis
- Historical analysis for business Decision making
- Time, efforts, and resources consumed in quota planning could be enormous and still organisation may not be able to set up the appropriate Quotas, Anaplan drastically reduces the efforts and provide great ROI
- What-if analysis in Anaplan is another great feature which adds to the ROI. You have the visibility of future state before actually submitting the targets
Apart from Anaplan, I have only used Microsoft Excel and Anaplan has a huge cloud advantage over excel. Input providers can fill out the assumptions fields directly in the master version, making Excel input sheets sent per email and manual consolidation redundant. However, Anaplan provides a single, real time source of truth as its connectors and import functions ensure that parameters are always up-to-date. Anaplan also provides better Security and access to correct Content based on the Roles.
