Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT

I use this for our GL, A/P, Financial Reporting, and Cash Receipts.
  • Preview entries that are not posted.
  • Easy AP Entry process.
  • Easy JE reversal process.
  • They do Not have running totals for G/L reports - I have never seen a system w/o this.
  • Very difficult Bank rec system - you have to completely get out to look something out. There is no manner to pull in unposted entries.
  • Very unforgiving system in trying to change an ACH payment date in AP.
  • Journal entries require Journal for each entry - this makes no sense - they are journaling entries.
  • Very cumbersome report export process.
  • You cannot look up Ledger info by dollar amount for AP or GL.
  • Does not auto populate city by entering a zip code.
  • Customer service and support help are ill-prepared and not helpful. We are implementing AR, and the support help was so ill-prepared.
  • Project detail reports have no total for the report.
  • Other reports which have multiple projects do not have account totals.
  • No warning if you enter a control total and the entry is out of balance.
  • There is not a good Cash Receipt reporting system.
  • Freezing and interface issues.
  • There is so much more, but I will stop here.

  • A/P Processing.
  • G/l
  • More time to investigate issue and prepare reconciliations.
  • Very difficult to fix errors.
  • Downloading reports is Very unnecessarily cumbersome.

Project code usage is good, but in my experience, there is so little positive about the functionality of the G/L and A/P. We are implementing A/R, and support help was not prepared, did not make an attempt to know our business, and did not listen to our questions.
