Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

Dayforce is used by our company and its 6 subsidiaries. Dayforce provides a central location for our HR administration, benefits administration, and payroll processing.
  • The payroll module is very easy to use and processing happens quickly. You can immediately see the results and check an individual employees information to.
  • Can check to that all deductions, taxes and earnings are processed correctly.
  • The Benefits module is also a plus for Dayforce. Plans, enrollments and eligibility requirements can be set up quickly.
  • Another strength for Ceridian Dayforce is that they are constantly improving their product and listening to their customers on their needs.
  • The actual processing of benefits is a bit cumbersome, especially when an employee is making a change between plans. This also included the carrier feeds, which don't always work.
  • The system has some latency issues.
  • Support is not always helpful and with some issues, they are slow to resolve or provide a solution.
  • I would say that we have had a slightly positive impact. Having all of our companies in the same environment is definitely beneficial, but there have been some processes that move slower based on our use of the system.
Compliance has definitely improved since our move to Dayforce. Being able to apply rules consistently, the system handling the tax withholdings based on HR address information, PPACA reporting as well as EEO-1 reporting is much easier with Ceridian Dayforce.
Having a central source for our employee records has been a definite benefit to our organization. Having 7 legal entities and trying to harmonize our benefits, compensation, recruiting and hiring has been a challenge. In particular, we have been able to use recruiting across all of our locations. So if a candidate is not quite the right fit for one company, they may be for another.
The benefit of having a single source for these items is tremendous. We are quickly able to review an employee's information for accuracy and are able to report on across all of our locations and combine information from all of these areas.
Ceridian Dayforce is well suited for most companies. We have a distribution company, 2 service companies and 3 manufacturing companies, and the system works well for all of them.
