Overall Satisfaction with Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISR 4000)
It's being used across the whole organization. We already had the old router 3945E and we reached the limitation of bandwidth for this box. We were searching for another scalable box and we found that the 4451 is the most perfect one. It could be upgraded just using a license without the need to change hardware.
- New technology, but upgradable by license so you can be supported in the future
- Support a large number of support routing ports
- GUI
- WCCP
- Scalability
- Stability
- Increase number of routing ports
- I think it's a good investment for the company. We get a good product with a good price in comparison to other competitors.
- Scalable product for the future needs.
We faced a lot of issues with the instability of
Junos IOS as it failed on different switches and we had to reinstall the
devices from scratch. There are some implemented protocols that a Cisco
propriety didn’t support on Juniper routers. Cisco support has a replacement for the devices
within 4 hours with the 4000 series. With Juniper, they would replace the device on the next business
day.
