Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI)
The main use case for Cisco ACI was the ability to use micro segmentation. This was used to land several applications in ACI all using the same subnet but still logically seperated from each other by using EPGs and contracts. Applications needed to only be able to communicate with it's own servers and the outside (of ACI) world. When different applications needed to communicate with eachother within ACI, only necessary traffic must be allowed.

Compared to NSX, Cisco ACI has a lot to offer out-of-the-box without the need to use extra tools or products that need to be installed.
It's very easy to expand he current infrastructure with new switches. As soon as a new switch is physically connected to the ACI fabric it is detected and can be registered to become part of the fabric by the ACI administrator. There's no need to configure the switch before installation or install software on it (unless it is not running ACI software).
I did not use any automation features with ACI.
