We are currently deploying them for a campus as a 3 Tier architecture:

We benefit from HA capability of all of them, Access layers such as 9200 and 9300 have the Stackwise feature, while 9400/9500/9600 we use virtual stacking capability.

Unfortunately our company didn't benefit yet fro; advanced customization and manageability, we currently use the cisco catalyst switches serie in a more traditionnal way, CLI, Scripts etc...

Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points series works perfectly with the cisco catalyst switch series, they can be integrated easily in the Cisco SD Access architecture using the Cisco Wireless controller 9800 serie as well as the Cisco DNA Center.
Also catalyst switches support high traffic forwarding, and catalyst 9100 access points work well when connected to a catalyst switch.
