Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MS

In the organization we changed from traditional Cisco switches (catalys) to Meraki switches, until before using Meraki switches we had to update our switches with cables connected to the console, that made us spend on travel expenses for our support engineers to go to each branch office , today with Meraki we have everything consolidated in an Dashboard and we have and are able to keep our infrastructure updated with a single click
  • Consolidate all administration in a single view (Dashboard)
  • It is easier to do troubleshooting, in each port you can see the flows and conversations in the network.
  • You always have your organization updated with a single click
  • They can improve the integration they have with the Catalys families.
  • They can improve the integration they have with the Catalys families.

Would you buy Cisco Meraki MS again?

  • Compared to traditional Cisco, Meraki is more attractive in price and has better features.
  • You have short-term savings because you manage to keep the network updated with a single click and you do not invest in travel expenses to go to each regional office with a console cable
  • now you have analytics that allow you to make better decisions for the business.
Our company is not an IT company, now with less specialized personnel we can maintain the service levels that the business operation demands of us and allows us to be agile before changes in the organization. Now with a smaller support staff we can attend to more users and dedicate ourselves to more strategic issues that the organization demands.
By having our entire network platform with Cisco Meraki, it allows us with the administration console to have total control of all flows and conversations on the network. Until before implementing Meraki we had three different consoles and it was difficult to manage them, now from the dashboard we can have a comprehensive view of the network and, extra points, completely updated.
Definitely this is a great differentiator, the fact that you can keep your network updated, free of vulnerabilities is something that is appreciated today by network administrators. All you have to do is schedule the day that best suits you to update your infrastructure and take it for granted. We've had a few software bugs, but we have, and Meraki is quick to develop patches to fix it.
The recommendation or the best scenario to be able to set up a complete network of Meraki Switches is if you want to have complete visibility of the network and mainly if you have regional offices. Additionally, you can add the family of Access Points (MR) to increase the benefits that Meraki can offer you.
