Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Nexus Dashboard

As a gold Cisco Partner, we are trying to position Cisco Nexus Dashboard Insights for our customers that have recently migrated to ACI. We are able to provide either a small demo in our lab or a PoC on client premises. The main goal is to help customer to have more visibility into their ACI fabric and simple operations. We see Cisco Nexus Dashboard as a very valuable tool when using PBR, or moving from Network Centric to Application Centric. Flow feature and traffic analysis are great tools also for Day2Ops.
  • Anomalies
  • Explore Feature
  • Browse flow
  • Change analysis
  • Options to customize the severity for the anomalies and even discard them
  • One time remediation for more know anomalies
  • Expand the Anomaly Detection for Routing Protocols Received Paths for other protocols than BGP
  • n/a, used for client solutions
Currently, I'm not aware of another solution comparable to Cisco Nexus Dashboard Insights.
It helps the client to spot misconfigurations before they could impact production. Pre-upgrade validator and change analysis also allow to anticipate the outcome of a change before it is applied.
Customers appreciate the traffic path feature, the overview of the health of the fabric and the anomalies pane.

Do you think Cisco Nexus Dashboard delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Nexus Dashboard's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Nexus Dashboard live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Cisco Nexus Dashboard go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Nexus Dashboard again?

Yes

It can be very useful for ACI clients that are starting to use contract in the fabric, and for customers that doesn't have another flow collection solution. The flow feature can be very powerful. Also for new ACI users that are not yet conformable enough with the APIC GUI for monitoring.
