Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Routers
- Cisco 800 Series Industrial ISR (IR 800)
The Cisco Router Series 800 is used in all locations classified as small and medium, a total of 76 locations, providing end-to-end communication through DMVPN. We use ZPFW for security reasons too. The same router is also used for local internet output, making web access faster and more efficient. In the security layer we use the ZBFW solution. This router can be easily deployed due to its low cost and easy configuration.

Yes, compatibility with other devices is of vital importance in our environment. Today we have a fully Cisco network with security solutions such as ASA and Firepower, Catalyst line switches, 800, 4000 and ASR 1000 routers, as well as software solutions such as ISE, Umbrella, Cisco Prime. Because we are a government company, the fact that our entire park is Cisco also assists at the time of requesting no obligation to bid to maintain the compatibility of the environment.
We use almost all the security functions of the router. All LOG and NETFLOW events are collected in order to have a database for security analysis, all actions performed on the router are supervised through AAA and ISE, integrated into the company's AD. We also use the firewall function of the router, filtering the packets arriving at the local network.
Continuous access to a data network is provided across a Cisco network infrastructure from the Catalyst 2900 series access switch through the 800 or 4000 series router to a Nexus 9K series datacenter. All this communication is performed through VPN tunnels with DMVPN technology and routing protocols. All this access is vital to the operation of the company and I can say that with Cisco products we do not find any problems, on the contrary, the products help us to find other types of problems like access to application, database, among others...
