Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Meetings

We use Webex Meeting extensively for internal as well as external meetings in our department, across multiple departments, across our organization and especially with customers. We rely on its easy-to-use document and screen sharing capabilities. Meeting host controls give us [the] ability to control audiences as needed, e.g. muting for larger audiences, etc.
  • Document sharing.
  • Meeting control.
  • Video communication.
  • Changes to user interface have made it hard to toggle between viewing options.
  • Cisco got too slick with disappearing controls that show up when you don't want them, and you can't easily find when you need them.
  • Missing basic feature of telling how many participants are in a meeting.
  • High cost has been a challenge for smaller customers seeking a more economical solution.
  • Active User pricing model can lead to some unpleasant surprises.
  • Extra helpful with COVID in allow[ing] an alternative to travel.
All these products are in use, either for personal or corporate communications. Sometimes we don't get to choose, so we need to be able to communicate with customers and others through whatever mechanisms they are most comfortable with. Cisco Webex Meetings still tends to be the tool of choice for external communications.

Do you think Webex Meetings delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Webex Meetings's feature set?

Yes

Did Webex Meetings live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Webex Meetings go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Webex Meetings again?

Yes

Despite it's high price, it's still the preferred tool for web meetings, especially external communications with clients.
Not involved with deployment.
Performance is usually good, despite the occasional system outages. During the early stages of the pandemic we saw some extreme challenges & had to go as far as to offset the scheduling of meetings to get around system limitations, but that's understandable given the severity of the situation. Usually performance is pretty good.
Cisco Webex Meetings is still well suited for corporate communications, especially for external interactions with clients, customer, partners and vendors - although other vendors like Microsoft and Zoom [have] been coming on strong in the collaboration space. Unlike Zoom and FaceTime, we don't see Webex being appropriate for family calls as it's not cost competitive (free), but that's probably not a market Cisco is after, although it's worked well for Zoom.
