SAP Concur review

Concur Travel and Expenses make it very easy to book corporate travel without the need to contact the corporate travel department. I can book everything myself online. The trip then automatically carries over into expense. The expense part is linked to our corporate credit card provider. Nightly all charges are brought into Concur and I can easily code them and attach receipts to send off for approval.

Our Concur system is integrated with our SAP ECC 6.0 system and automatically interfaces when it is completed and sends the expenses for payment to our corporate credit card or the employee vendor for reimbursement. There is very little manual intervention needed at all in the entire process whereas before there was a whole travel expense department.

The adoption of Concur has helped drive adherence to the travel policy through automated rules. It also was able to automate the auditing of expense reports so instead of a dedicated team for processing and auditing these reports this is now automated thus saving on cost and headcount. Concur can also generate reports to make month-end accruals for reports that have not been approved yet.

The experience has made it so much easier to book your own travel instead of having to go to the corporate travel department for the arrangements. On the back end, we no longer need a dedicated department to process and audit expense reports as this is now all automated through Concur and the interface into SAP.
