Overall Satisfaction with CrashPlan
Crashplan is being used by a number of departments for cloud backup. The business problems addressed are backups of all the folders we decide should be backed up no matter where our staff is. If they can connect to the internet their files are backed up.
- Ease of installing. To add a user we enter their e-mail address and then they get the link to download and the license key to use so they are part of our Crashplan ecosystem.
- After the initial backup they are quick and don't take more than a couple of minutes - even on slower connections.
- Crashplan tech support has been great which is a big deal when it comes to companies which only offer e-mail support.
- The functions we want are all there.
- The reporting tool also is great.
- Crashplan has been at this cloud backup for a while and we can tell.
- ROI has been if a machine goes missing the data is safe in the cloud.

Windows Backup was only able to backup when users were on a VPN and they would use valuable bandwidth. Now with crashplan, as long as users have internet access their data is backed up.
