Overall Satisfaction with Dashlane

Dashlane is one of those apps that we can't live without. We use it in our organization to protect and insulate passwords for shared services and we also use it on a personal basis. It's a life-changer and most of all, it gives us all complete confidence that our accounts are protected. I also use Dashlane for personal accounts and many of our employees do the same. It is consistently one of the most appreciated employee benefits we hear about. We like the way that Dashlane works on any browser. We like that we can set it not to stay logged in for too long. Some employees forget that they are logged in and if their machine is compromised or stolen, someone could potentially access accounts. We also like using 2FA to ensure authentication. We have also had to shut down a user's account for fear of it being compromised and it was extremely easy and secure. Using Dashlane on mobile is also a breeze. We compared Dashlane to our prior service, LastPass. LastPass was good but Dashlane is better for non-technical folks. Neither one is flawless in logging into applications but when there is an issue with a login, Dashlane is usually better at guiding through options for diagnosing and fixing.
  • Logs into mobile apps very well
  • Detects anomalies
  • Used biometrics for authentication
  • Some of our language and explanations could be simpler. Most users are not security professionals, they just want to get into applications and do their jobs.
  • Guidelines for diagnosing and fixing problems can always be clearer and better targeted toward laypeople.
  • Sometimes we need to change a user's email address (like if they change their name). Changing email addresses is very hard if not impossible. It appears to be impossible once it's set in the account.
  • Very easy onboarding and offboarding
  • Easy to change passwords for shared services
  • Giving password protection benefits to employees for personal use
We thought that LastPass was a little harder to use. It cost less but the marginal cost increase for Dashlane was worth it.
Yes - Dashlane replaced Lastpass. LastPass was a little harder to use and didn't login reliably into most apps.
None other than LastPass.
