Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce HCM
Our company uses Dayforce HCM across all of our locations in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Dayforce has addressed several areas such as eliminating the need for system integrations and improving our internal processes and procedures not only for our Human Resources department, but also for our managers and employees. It allows us to gather data quickly and efficiently.
- The Benefits module has been a huge success for us. It is easy for us to administer and also easy for our employees to enroll in benefits and also make mid year changes to their beneficiaries and salary deferrals.
- The self service is amazing. Employees can log in using their desk top or use the mobile app. They love the mobile app. Since we are in manufacturing, a lot of our employees don't use email, so we utilize the broadcast functionality to send out announcements. They receive a notification from their mobile app that they have a message. It has really helped us improve our communication.
- The product is so wonderful that so many organizations are implementing it. However, the implementation experience could be improved. There are a lot of organizations that don't have internal experts who understand system requirements and may experience difficulties with key areas if it is not set up correctly during implementation.
- Dayforce HCM has enabled us to maintain a lean HR department due to all of the efficiencies it offers. We have improved several internal processes and it has saved our HR department, as well as our production managers time and headache. We have also realized an ROI just by cutting down the amount of paper we used to use.
The real-time payroll enables us to review payroll after a change has been made. If we have a last minute change, we just update and refresh then confirm in the preview that the change took place correctly. We are able to process our payroll in less than one day, which is a huge improvement!
We have three shifts that are offered in shift differentials. The system makes the assignments and overtime rules easy to configure. It allows us to show the amount of regular hours, overtime hours, shift differential and overtime on the shift differential on the employee's paystub. This makes it easy for employees to understand how their hours and pay are calculated.
The biggest impact is eliminating the need for in-house and/or external HRIT professionals. When you have several intregrations, you really need a team in-house to manage and build the file feeds and manage other important areas. This allows us to experience a huge cost savings.
