Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

I use DraftSight on my desktop to open drawings that I download from various internet sites. Sometimes I print out the drawing, other times I copy it over to my AutoCAD PC which is not connected to the internet. I'm the only user. I don't want our drawings on an Internet PC due to hacking our valuable products. With DraftSight, I can open about any format drawing. It's just a friendly, useful tool.
  • Open up SOLIDWORKS and other formats. On my AutoCAD PC I use an older version.
  • Getting dimensions out is easy.
  • I don't use it enough to critique it.
  • Overall, my use has been a positive experience.
  • I can't identify any particular impact, but it does allow me more time to peruse other things.
No comparison, DraftSight works best for my use.
In my circumstance, where I have a special, non-internet PC for my new design, modifications or just printout, a CAD software like Draftsight is just right.
