Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Eloqua

It's our e-mail marketing platform, we use for all web forms/microsites, and it's fully integrated with SalesForce. It's great for building out campaigns, especially long-term/ nurture campaigns. We closely look at the analytics to ensure we maintain a good sender score and adhere to best practices. We use it for lead scoring and auto-assigning lead statuses. It's a great, very robust tool the whole marketing team is able to take advantage of.
  • Email Campaigns- I drive events, and use all facets of Eloqua: E-mail, landing page, form, confirmation pages, integration with SF, auto-alerts, list segments, reporting, etc. It's a sophisticated all-in-one platform.
  • Nurturing Campaigns - the campaign tool is the most robust of anything out there. It allows you to do basically anything you want, like creating assignment rules based on the lead's actions. Once you set up the campaign, you don't have to worry about it again. You can make it as automated as you want.
  • Intuitive - stores and keeps information in an intuitive way without duplicating leads. We're able to see a full lead lifecycle
  • It does not duplicate leads whatsoever, but sometimes that can be an issue - I work in the channel, and sometimes it's necessary to duplicate leads so that one lead registration doesn't override another partner's registration.
  • Only allows us to push inquiries into SalesForce when it would be helpful for Eloqua to allow us to push suspects in there so we don't have to upload them directly to SF.
  • Wish it had better integration with WebEx
  • Automation
  • User-friendly
  • Integration
I've heard Marketo is easier to use, but doesn't have nearly the functionality that Eloqua does
It's only well-suited for departments who can invest A LOT of time into it in order to take advantage of everything it can do. For the cost and learning curve it takes, it really has to be fully integrated into the marketing team's every day. There's so much functionality that I don't think we even know every thing we're capable of doing at times. We have an employee who specializes in Eloqua, which really is a necessity.

Using Oracle Eloqua

Eloqua is engrained in our system now- it would take some major heavy lifting to change. We love its functionality and it's become a very important tool the whole team uses.
