Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

We use Insightly as our primary database system, so it helps us keep track of our clients contact information, properties we're selling, potential new deals we need to track, and for general notes and details. The to-do list items help us keep track of who we need to be talking with, and how often we need to check in on them. We use Insightly to help keep us on task and in touch with our client base across our whole team.
  • Task Management: The to-do list function is so helpful. We use it to keep track of who we need to be talking to & when we need to be talking with them at any given time.
  • Customization: The whole platform is completely customizable - we've tailored all of Insightly's functions to work for us and our team's specific needs.
  • Google Integration: We love that Insightly can be integrated right into our Google applications from Gmail, Google Calendar, To-Do lists, and more!
  • Sorting: There are some sorts that can't be performed yet - primarily with a "duplicate" search. There's no real good way to search for missing information.
  • "Go Back": while you can go back to the previous page, sometimes you can't go back to your previous search. I haven't figured out what causes this to be cancelled out, but some improvement here would be really great.
  • Better customer service
  • Increased employee/team efficiency (helps us know who's reached out to someone & when they reached out)
  • top producer
I've used a real estate specific program called Top Producer, and Insighly is worlds above the last version of Top Producer that I used. Top Producer is more expensive and not nearly as functional. It's also more difficult to update records in Top Producer, and if an error is made it's much easier to undo/correct in Insightly.
I can't really think of a scenario where I wouldn't find Insightly appropriate. The customization is one of the best parts of the product, so it really can work for any industry. The only real draw back to the initial set up is figuring out how to customize the product just right. It can feel a little daunting if you're starting up from scratch, but once the initial categories are set up, they can be adjusted at any time.

  • Client Data - this is the most important feature of this product to our team. We have to keep the data in a central location that's easily accessible to everyone on the team.
  • Task Tracking & Management - this is just as important to us. A list of names & contact info doesn't do anyone any good if you don't follow up. The task tracking feature helps automate follow up so you don't have to think about who to call.
  • Projects - the projects feature in real estate is a great way to track listings & properties being sold. You can link all of the parties to the project which helps keep things organized AND helps provide detailed records that can be invaluable in years to come.
