Overall Satisfaction with Intacct

Intacct was used at my previous company for Accounting (General Ledger) and Accounts Payable. The Controller, Staff Accountants, and Accounts Payable personnel all had read/write access. The Administrators and Business Administrators at the Nursing Home/Rehab/Assisted Living centers all had read-only access.
  • Intacct's layout is highly user-friendly. I was able to easily navigate. It is very straight forward and easy on the eyes!
  • Looking up a single payable transaction was done in just one click (vs. opening many screens in Microsoft Dynamix AX). This made it simple to find coding used for a specific invoice.
  • Reports were easy to operate and build with many detail options available for personalizing to suit my needs. I used the Vendor Payment Details report on a regular (1-2/week) basis.
  • I like that you don't end up with multiple screens open, but instead can navigate forward and backward.
  • Entering payable transactions was quick and easy - just select your vendor and post the ledger line with as much or as little detail as your company prefers!
  • I cannot express the user-friendliness of this product! Just about anything you want to do is possible with Intacct. Over my 3 1/2 years using Intacct I was able to implement many different features to improve the Accounts Payable process. This included assigning vendors a category, which made running reports quick and efficient! You can set payment terms (30, 60, 90, 120, etc.) and simply choose from a drop-down when entering an invoice. The recurring payments feature allowed for us to ensure monthly, quarterly, etc. payments were processed on time.
  • I am proficient in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and Great Plains. I have also used SAP read-only. I find my experience with Intacct to be highly preferable!
  • It has been almost two years since using Intacct, but I cannot think of any areas where improvement was necessary.
  • Increased employee efficiency.
  • Better customer service.
I am proficient in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and Great Plains. I have also used SAP read-only. I find my experience with Intacct to be highly preferable! Looking up a single payable transaction was done in just one click (vs. opening many screens in Microsoft Dynamix AX and scrolling through a journal to find your answer). This made it simple to find answers for a specific invoice. Reports were easy to operate and build with many detail options available for personalizing to suit my needs, whereas Microsft Dynamix and Great Plains do not offer as many detail options for personalization. I like that you don't end up with multiple screens open, but instead can navigate forward and backward.
Unfortunately, I am an Accounts Payable Specialist in a team of six. My current company uses Microsoft Dynamix AX 2009 and plans to continue using this software.
This is great for multi-entity companies. Our company owned/operated anywhere from 10-12 Nursing/Rehab/Assisted Living at one time. Intacct worked well for our Accounting (GL) and Accounts Payable processes.
