Jamf Pro put an end to us getting Jammed up!
Overall Satisfaction with Jamf Pro
We use Jamf Pro to manage and support all the macOS and iOS devices on campus. It saves us so much time with the policies, automatic installations, and streamline of use and upkeep. I love it.
Pros
- Support - the support team at Jamf has always been quick, and super helpful when needed. In addition to the team at Jamf, there is a huge support community of other Mac admins that always willing to help.
- Ease of use. Once you get it set up it is so easy to maintain, add to, and expand.
- The sheer amount of possibilities of what you can do.
Cons
- Captioning on all their training.
- An updated composer application.
- More training opportunities.
- We added everything we have ever bought from Apple into Jamf, and we found some Macs that had grown legs and walked away.
- Frees staff up to undertake other projects they had not had time to do before.
- One negative is that 2 staff spend nearly 20 hours per week maintaining and upgrading the systems.
Previously we were using Apple Profile Manager. We had to circum-navigate around some of the barriers and hurdles. It was cumbersome and broke a lot.

Using Jamf Pro
6 - All of them are in IT. 2 main Mac sysadmins, 1 person who updates the connections to the cloud server, 3 at the service/helpdesk.
2 - While we have a few people that can log in and perform basic help to end users - we have 2 primary people who manage, update, and support Jamf Pro.
