Plan accordingly and don't be afraid to ask questions it will be key to know where network lines are required to be to suit your solution's specific needs, and make sure then when all is said and done that you do enough test calls that you are happy with the call quality. (There is no reverb, the mic isn't turned up to loud etc.)

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Currently we use Lifesize Video Conferencing across our entire organization. We are a mid-sized regional company who has offices in various places across a few markets. Lifesize allows us to connect to one another and hold important meetings in real time with extreme video quality. It has allowed us to centralize our meeting needs to one platform that we can share link access to outside vendors etc.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Outstanding video clarity - Focusing on video audio sync.
It is very easy to use and manage. When a meeting needs to be created it takes me no more than 30 seconds to set up.
Technical support has been good, and access to help documents and topics have been easy to find and understand.

Cons

I would like to see a collaboration feature added. currently it is easy to present anything you would like from your screen to the rest of the room but currently it allows for no collaboration. A pass the mic feature so to speak. The ability for someone else in the meeting to be able to make changes or point to things in the current shared presentation.
The desktop application seems heavy and process intensive at times. I often need to close the application to improve PC function.
Recently the link structure changed for joining conference calls and we were not notified. This cause a few meeting to start out of schedule. You know what they say time is money. I have sense sent out new requests with updated links but would like to be notified more promptly if the platform changes.

Likelihood to Recommend

As I said previously Lifesize has allowed us as a team to connect seamlessly and in real time without the challenges of lag or video underperforming audio. This can be a key factor in impressing a client or keeping your meeting members engaged when meetings run without technical difficulty. As I said previously it may not be the best suited when you are looking for an application that allows for real time collaboration, but all in all we have been very happy with the way this has helped us communicate.
