Overall Satisfaction with Lifesize Video Conferencing
CLEAResult has over 70 offices across North America. Although we have had Lifesize for about 5 years, we began to use it more heavily about three years ago when we began making more acquisitions and growing the number of offices. We have physical Lifesize hardware in a number of conference rooms in some of our major locations. We also have a good portion of our users with Cloud accounts.
Lifesize is used heavily in pockets of our organization with teams that are distributed. The IT team is a big user because we have teams in four offices and a number of remote employees. The Finance team is a user since they have teams in three locations. A few of our operations teams that are distributed use it as well.
The IT team is the heaviest user of Lifesize. The Infrastructure team has a Lifesize device that is always on in three locations. So if there is a situation or an outage, team members can walk to this device and begin talking to one another like they are meeting in the hallway to collaborate. The IT team also uses it for our All Hands meetings since we are so distributed and it is good to connect over video.

- Lifesize is very effective when you want to connect directly with another person over video. Unlike WebEx, you do not need to set up a WebEx conference. You can dial the person either through the device or via your Cloud account and start talking to them when they pick up.
- Lifesize is effective when you are having a staff meeting with individuals in different locations.
- If you have a large group of individuals dialing into a Lifesize meeting, you will not see all of them on the screen. This happens when we have an IT all-hands call where we have about forty people/locations dialing in. You will see about a dozen on the screen because the size of the video for each does not shrink to show all the individuals on the call.
- The user interface for the physical devices could be improved. It takes a while to get used to finding what you want.
