Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart
I use Lucidchart to frequently build out process maps. I often use it to identify what my organization's current and future state processes are. This helps us to identify gaps or waste in our processes and help determine ideally where we want to move as an organization. One thing I've found helpful with Lucidchart is the ability to create a template. Since I really only use Lucidchart for process mapping, it helps to have a template already created where I can just duplicate and work out of. I think it's very similar in functionality to Microsoft Office Suite, which made it so easy for me to adopt when I started using Lucidchart a few months ago. I think it's a great application, and I would recommend using it to other organizations, specifically for departments that highlight process improvement.
Pros
- The layout is not overwhelming. It is easy to find all functions on the home screen.
- Lucidchart automatically have functions built in, such as how "yes" and "no" pop up as options when entering a decision point.
- I like that there's the capability to have a template saved and that I'm able to share this template with others. Helps with simplicity.
Cons
- I really can't think of three areas of improvement.
- Adding in a waste cloud for process mapping! I didn't see that as a shape.
- Maybe adding in more templates would be helpful.
- Improved productivity
- Saves time for having to use another application
- Improved communication re: sharing files.
The only applications listed above that I have used or heard of are Google and Microsoft. I don't believe in my brief experience with Lucidchart that I've utilized any of these functionalities, but it's great to know that Lucidchart collaborates with other applications. My organization uses Microsoft Teams, so I foresee myself using that application in association with Lucidchart in the future as I become more comfortable with it.
Do you think Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite delivers good value for the price?
Yes
Are you happy with Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite's feature set?
Yes
Did Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite go as expected?
I wasn't involved with the implementation phase
Would you buy Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite again?
Yes
The only application similar to Lucidchart that I have used is Microsoft Excel. Despite their connection, Excel is not as compatible with Microsoft Teams (formatting errors often arise when trying to edit Excel documents out of Teams). I think that Lucidchart and Excel are very similar in functionality; they're both simple. However, Lucidchart is the best option for process mapping due to the automatic options it provides with its shapes and arrows.
