Overall Satisfaction with ManageEngine Application Manager
This product has the ability to give us transversal visibility over our IT Platform.During these 12 years, it has provided us with security and optimal response times in solving problems associated with infrastructure, services and applications. It has helped us keep our platforms operational by providing us with information about possible events or service outages, whether a disk is full or a service/process has lost connectivity.
Pros
- Intuitive ease of the administration interface
- Improvements and security fixes that are quickly integrated with frequent updates
- Visibility into the status of our services and the end user experience (End to End)
- Reports associated with attributes of services, applications or containers that help us detect certain flaws in our services.
Cons
- Microservices associated with processes
- Ability to integrate with other APIs to centralize information in the intuitive ManageEngine Application Manager Dashboard
- Any security feature that can be integrated or monitor the compliance or benchmark of our platform (Hypervisor, servers, virtual and physical)
- We calculated the daily cost for the amount of services we had to maintain 24x7, 365 days a year, and we were clearly satisfied with the value.
- The granularity or fine tuning capacity that it manages to monitor has helped us prevent loss of service and ensure that our SLAs are optimal.
- With the user experience feature, it has given us valuable support to detect, from end users, slowdowns or events that occur in the operation.
The ease of implementation, administration, maintenance and integration with the multiple types of monitors that the platform can collect (DATABASE, PROCESSES, SERVICES, PERFORMANCE, STORAGE, TABLESPACE, PORTS, DATA FOLDERS, CLOUD APPS, VIRTUALIZATION COMPONENTS, etc.) It took us to get this tool all these years. While Grafana, Centreon and PRTG are good products, implementation and integration involves more man-hour and they don't have that friendly interface like ManageEngine Application Manager.

Evaluating ManageEngine Application Manager and Competitors
Yes - At that time there was WhatsUp Gold. Although it was a good monitoring tool, ManageEngine Application Manager provided more features and faster to monitor components
- Cloud Solutions
- Scalability
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
The intuitive ease of the administration interface, the new features, improvements and security fixes that are quickly integrated with frequent updates.
The truth is that it would not change the interest or the implementation strategy of the tool given that the implementation was quite safe and controlled.

Although we have annually renewable support, we only use it for questions regarding features. The tool is well thought out and we rarely have problems with the application or BD of the product
On one occasion, we had high CPU consumption on one of the monitoring nodes and they were quite efficient and effective in resolving the issue by sending me a patch to correct.
