Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Warehouse Builder
It is used for bringing data from a production database to a reporting database. Oracle Warehouse Builded (OWB) was supplied by Ellucian when the Banner production system was installed. It is mostly maintained by another company that is the outsourcing company for us - SICAS, but I use OWB to update some objects that are created locally for some specific business needs.
- It is very well structured.
- It creates pl/sql codes without the need to do it manually.
- The visual design is pretty good.
- No good learning material available.
- I didn't see a training course for it.
- It is not easy to learn.
- It improved understanding of ETL functions. Data is consistent. The speed is pretty good.
