Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

I use Paychex Flex for my payroll. I have a small seasonal business and my employee count fluctuates from one employee (with me it would be two) up to approximately six. Paychex Flex is used throughout our organization. The problem it addresses is handling the withholdings and submitting them to the proper authorities.
  • They get the payroll out in time.
  • I find the website for reporting a bit complicated.
  • I would like a consistent rep I can call when I have questions.
  • At the start, my employees were able to call in to sign in for the day, and sign out over the phone too. One by one my employees were complaining that they couldn't get on, so we had to revert to manually documenting hours for MOST (not all) of my employees. The fact that some could use the system and not others was never properly explained.
  • Recently, the remaining employee(s) were unable to login to the "sign in" system (telephone). When I brought it to a Paychex employee's attention, they said that we weren't supposed to have that feature at all and he would get back to me after confirming. No one got back to me.
  • Despite that the payroll seems to go out on time and accurately, the overall customer service is just "squirrelly".

I was familiar with Paychex Flex. I knew they had been around a long time and figured they would be reputable.
The response time is inconsistent, however I DO get a response eventually. I'd like someone assigned to my account who I can call when I need to.

If I were to start over, I would shop other companies. It appears that this is a good value; however, because our "implementation" deteriorated over time, I can't say that I'm happy. They did get a check out for me quickly last week, which was very helpful. I just find the website a little confusing still.
The handling of payroll is fine for us. I just wish we could use the automated/call-in reporting system that we had at the start, which has now disappeared. That was helpful.
