Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

I currently use Paylocity for payroll, recruiting and onboarding. Within payroll, I use the Time & Labor function to track and report hours worked and PTO. While we are small, the ATS and onboarding modules have been invaluable with employees in 15 different states all working remotely.
  • Streamlines Onboarding Process
  • Streamlines Benefit Enrollment within Workflow
  • Allows me to Post Jobs on several sites and shares candidates instantly with all hiring managers.
  • Implementation Process Poor
  • Ongoing Account Management - never hear from sales or current account manager on "how are things going"?
  • Get automated messages from service@ with little to no feedback or automated messages asking me how things were resolved when they have not been.
  • Employees see too many choices - they don't get enough training on how to use the system. Since we use TIme & Labor for PTO requests, I constantly get questions on how to cancel requested PTO, where do I approve requested PTO )from managers). Employees need to see a simplified Dash/Self Service Portal with fewer choices.
  • Reduced Data Entry
  • Reduced Time Expenditures
  • Better Reporting
ATS has reduced the number of emails I need to forward to hiring managers, enables notes to be saved and shared, and hiring managers have the ability to see what stage we're in.

Onboarding and integration has reduced data entry.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

No

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

No

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

I think Paylocity is better suited for large organizations with multiple users/approvers. It's a great platform and product with multiple modules. Help and training applies to all, but gets confusing on how to get answers if you don't use all the modules.

Evaluating Paylocity and Competitors

Yes - Trivantus
  • Product Features
No change in this process - I'd change the implementation process if I had to do it again.

Using Paylocity

There is too much info for employees. Multiple options to request PTO with no ability to turn off modules we don't use. Not enough ability to cancel PTO or find time requested. Tax set-up difficult with newer W4.
