Sage Accounting

Overall Satisfaction with Sage Accounting

We use Sage Accounting for all our financial processing at our organisation. It allows us to create and easily send out sales invoices to customers and record purchase invoices. The bank feed tool allows us to easily reconcile all our transactions. The quick create tool is a really useful feature to quickly create an invoice or set up a supplier. Having the cash flow forecast dashboard on the front page makes it so easy to monitor our cash flow position right when we log on.
  • HMRC Making Tax Digital direct calculation and submission
  • Super easy to set up new customers and new suppliers
  • Bank feed tool to reconcile transactions
  • Creating payment files to submit to the bank
  • Correcting transactions can be a bit clunky and hard to pin down
  • No full year end rollover process, have to do it manually
  • Sage Accounting enables us to make quick and easy cash flow management decisions - having the dashboard on the screen gives us an immediate picture to how cash flow has been over the last few days, and the forecast dashboard allows us to better predict it to make better decisions
Sage Accounting is a simpler, more streamlined version of the more complex Sage 50cloud Accounting. For a small, simpler company Sage Accounting is a much more cost-effective option. There are a few features that Sage 50cloud Accounting has that Sage Accounting does not have (such as making e-payments and a few reports are unavailable) but it is still a very good product.

Sage Accounting is well suited to a small to medium business that produces a regular number of invoices. As a medium-sized conference centre, Sage Accounting is really well suited to our needs as we need to create and email out invoices to customers on a regular basis. Most invoices include a number of different items that can easily be assigned to different nominal codes and different VAT codes. The functionality can calculate amounts based on price and quantity, and then the invoice can be directly emailed to the customer.
