Overall Satisfaction with Sage Accounting
I use Sage Accounting to manage my business finances. I have been using this for around 2 years, prior to this I had been keeping track with spreadsheets, but as the business grew and regulation was brought in I needed to move to something more suitable. Having tried an alternative, I landed on Sage as I found it very easy to get myself onboarded. I had support from the ever-helpful customer service team for answering the question, but honestly, I did not need them as it was pretty intuitive. I usually have to use it a few times a month to carry out key tasks of mine, and it is always a doddle. VAT returns are a breeze, and I get a pretty helpful view of the financial health of my business. I would certainly recommend the product to other small businesses that are starting. It has saved me so much time and heartache. As my business grows, there are additional tools that I can add, but for the moment, what I have is perfect for my needs!

- Speed could be a bit better, feel that loading bank transactions takes a while.
- Sometimes, I get a bit confused by the order in which the bank transactions are presented, especially if I am looking to do manual reconciliations.
- Logging onto the website can be a tad confusing. A number of products to pick from, and in the early days, I was unsure of what I should be logging into.
- I have saved considerable time. Instead of spending several hours a month, I need to log in a couple of times and complete what I need to do in half an hour.
- Managing invoices saves time, having to track who has not paid yet. I can follow up quickly with the customers.
- My employee is able to take care of accounts. She doesn't need to understand my spreadsheets anymore. Half-hour tuition on how to perform key tasks was all I needed to provide for her.
Sage was just easier for me to use and more familiar for my staff, who had some experience with enterprise versions of Sage in the past. It became a no-brainer when I made the final decision about which package to go with.
