Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager (NCM)

We use Solarwinds NCM to take daily backups of our network devices. We have it set up to send us daily emails that explain which devices were backed up. We also have NCM send us daily configuration change management emails which inform us of the changes that were made on the network devices the previous day. Our entire organization uses Solarwinds in some shape or form to help them monitor devices. It seems to do everything we need it to do at the moment.

  • As mentioned, less downtime is key to any environment.
  • Helps us meet compliance standards.
Automated tasks with email verifications are performed daily to help each of our jobs.
By running daily backups and configuration management we are able to focus on our compliance needs.

We are able to see statistics from our devices and also receive alerts when things aren't functioning as they should.

It is well suited in a backup scenario. If we ever lose one of our network devices to some type of failure we have a daily backup available to get a new one up and running with less downtime.

SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager (NCM) Premier Support

Our experience with Solarwinds support thus far has been nothing but positive. They have always been extremely helpful with getting our questions answered.
Assistance with upgrade your environment (where applicable) - Having a support technician with you as you upgrade gives you piece of mind in knowing that if anything goes South someone is readily available to help.
Having the ability to know whether or not your system is running as it should helps you to be proactive in fixing issues that may arise at a later time.
We performed an upgrade of our Solarwinds environment and after the upgrade performance wasn't up to par. Solarwinds support was able to assist us in getting us back to a stable environment. They were able to gather troubleshooting logs and figure out the best path to get us back going.
Being able to have the latest patches on your system only helps to make everything run smoothly. Having the assistance along the way helps rid the headaches that come with patching.
