Overall Satisfaction with Teamcenter

Well, I try to use it to define my processes. I'm not the end user of it, I enable end users to use it in an effective way. I try to define the algorithm, or let's say, flow what should be happening. Then some of our developers help us to configure workloads or other activities to reach a better way of working.
  • I'm specifically coming from the BOP area and I feel that the M V P is really good in structurized the data, like process resources and materials. It helps to connect all of them together and natural a better result of the connections and integrations.
  • I'm going to be a little blunt here. So the way how MPP and bombs are getting separated out, that is creating some issues when we want to implement end-to-end processes. The bomb team, the manufacturing or the sector manager kind of team, tries to give various features for the materials and bombs related to them, but all of those features are not available for BOP. For example, solution variant creation. When we have a variant based structure, I can create a solution variant for bombs, but I cannot create a solution variant for BOPs and this is, I would say something of a gap that Siemens should address and get it fixed. We have to do customization, but if the product is itself giving us then this is an elegant way to push it further. This is what I would say is the issue.
  • Definitely, it has a very positive impact so to speak. What we are trying to do through our program, we are utilizing the full capacity of Teamcenter to produce one structure in an effective way. So before we implement this activity, the user has to prepare 10 to 15 structures to reach to our best possible data that can be set across the systems. But now with the complete capability of Teamcenter, we are able to do all these things into one structure itself and then let the system do all the automation or the things that users do not have to concentrate on. All of the automations are done behind the systems and then it is improving not only the efficiency of the end user, but also making a standardized way in order to proceed and transfer the data holistically towards other systems like SAP.

Teamcenter is growing very well in active workspace as a web-based client, but again, when I'm coming from the manufacturing point of view or a Build of Processes point of view, the software easy plan still needs to improve in a way. Of course, I think they're improving it also in a good way, but it's still not yet matured so from today onwards I can simply ask my users from product resistant to using the plan and push it further. I think there we have to improve more.
