Overall Satisfaction with TestComplete
My organization uses TestComplete to automate testing of our custom software. The software is a windows application, used with a medical device that we are designing. The software and test engineers use this program at my organization. TestComplete automates testing which allows for quicker and more thorough software validation. This helps us to iterate quicker on software releases.
- TestComplete has an easy UI so you don't need to be a coder to use it.
- TestComplete has a lot of functionality to integrate with different software types - web based, desktop based, etc.
- TestComplete can require some pretty manual steps to update test cases.
- TestComplete has some bugs that I could not resolve.
- TestComplete has sped up and improved our software testing, which allows us to release software more frequently and with less support from the engineering team.

Since I am not a software engineer, I wanted to utilize a program that was easy to use for someone without extensive coding experience. TestComplete has a very user-friendly interface and an option for creating test scripts in an alternative way that didn't require writing code, which made it a very desirable option.
I would potentially have demo-ed a few other software options if I had the time. TestComplete allowed a free 30 day trial and I liked the program after that trial period it so I went ahead and purchased it instead of testing other products.
