Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO Spotfire
Spotfire is a nice analytical tool, you can use R Python and other scripts to enhance your reporting. This tool can be used across all your departments. We use the tool across our departments and slowly all the legacy reporting is being migrated to either Spotfire or Power BI, with Spotfire being in demand. We almost add 5-10 new users daily.
Pros
- Web-based tool: you can have the web-based version of the live reports.
- Report scheduling
- Usage of R and Python
Cons
- Connecting to Azure Datalake
- Pulling data from SharePoint online
- Azure SQL database
This tool was selected in my organization around 10 years back. It was suggested to be one of the best and it proved to be. My users are also satisfied with the performance of the tool, but we had some setbacks with SharePoint online and the Azure SQL database. Hopefully, if these issues are acknowledged then it will be great.

We should have good training available : I think training should be divided in to 3 catogeries.
1: Basic:
Where the target audiences will be end users who need the training to carry on there day to day activities.
2: Moderate/High:
It should have a moderate for the developers with some knowledge on the reporting queries and the other in details for the administrators.
