Would you buy Veeam Data Platform again?
Yes
Over two dozen VMs and shares, this is what we expected when we purchased the product as we came from a different company, so we knew how many things we would be backing up as this replaced that for us.
- It's costly but not more costly than losing some types of data, so it's been worth the cost.
We were doing an overhaul of our VM infrastructure and thought it made sense to look at our Disaster recovery solution at the same time. With technology, it's not a matter of if it will fail but when, and you don't want to get caught unprepared.
We host most of the data in house so we haven't used much in the way of cloud workloads.
We do use this feature to back up users' data on a daily basis and based on what type of user, we can set different policies for retention which is very beneficial. For some users, we may want just 1 weekly backup for others we may want a couple daily, a couple weekly, and a couple of monthly backups for reassurance.
