Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform
We recently implemented VEEAM to backup all of our physical and virtual servers. It addresses our auditor's needs.
- Restores to virtual machine fairly quickly.
- It sends us malware reports.
- Talking to support has not been extremely helpful. Some technicians are not sure of how to navigate our issues.
- Virtualized workloads
- Endpoints and physical servers running Windows & Linux
- Application-centric recovery using Veeam Explorers (for Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, etc)
- Capacity Tier to store data within object storage for longer term retention
- Integration with cyber-security tools for SecureRestore
- Immutable storage to protect against ransomware

- It has had a positive impact on a backup and recovery solution. Our previous solution was not as superior.
Before VEEAM, we had quest rapid recovery and it wasn't all that great. It had issues backing up and restoring sql databases and very slow to restore servers in general.
We have not utilized this feature at all.
