Overall Satisfaction with Webex Events (formerly Socio)

We connect people at headquarters in different cities all over the world using this tool that allows us to call, schedule videocalls and also chat with each other in an easy way. It allows us to add our phone number too, so you can call people that is not currently using their computer if an emergency arises.

Pros

  • Notification option that is not intrusive but clearly visible
  • Videocall quality is always great
  • Easy reprogramming of events from calendar

Cons

  • Sometimes I feel like it uses too many resources and makes my computer go slower
  • Chats of the webinar dissappear by default, but sometimes important info is shared and could be nice to have the option to save it
  • The quality of the video gets chosen by webex by default, sometimes maybe it would be nice to get the option to fix manually what's the minimum quality you want. Just to not talk with pixels
  • Due to the exceedingly good quality offered by webex we are able to use this tool with external clients. These clients have confirmed contracts for a long time due to their satisfaction with us.
  • The participation analysis has allowed us to refine our strategy and improve our weak points.
  • The recording option has allowed us to create tutorials and other deliverables that have created tangible value for our department and organization
Webex events has proved to be more stable and more accessible while allowing us to keep all the security layers in place. The fact that a person connecting to our trainings from the other side of the globe doesn't need to get his work computer prepared to assist, just his work phone, is an amazing advantage as you don't require the assistant to be in the office in the moment of the webinar. And that is key when you are involving people from different timezones.

I think it would work for:
  • Workshops with many people.
  • Quarterly's meetings with people all around the world.
  • If you want to create a digital training with lots of participants...
I feel like it's not as needed in videocalls that can be fixed with webex teams because of the number of participants or at events that need a more personal approach where you need everyone constantly interacting.

It offers an extensive solution for hybrid work focusing on digital-first customer experience with flexible options, integrated call plans, and quality service. The implementation process was simple, allowing an easy handle of orders and services with fast availability to updates and high efficiency, ensuring the reliability and performance of the services.
We found that depending on the Internet provider, Cisco anyConnect could show some issues and make connecting to the vpn that would later allow to connect to the rest of services much harder. Many times the issue was from the Internet provider side, the users where working on a shared net without being aware, and their Internet speed was reduced, when that speed is under certain values, Cisco didn't recognise the connection and didn't activate the vpn
It's been game changing, allowing people from all around the world to share a common tool that allows them to be in contact and work together whether they work remote or onsite. It also offers a simple and easy to understand solution that allows an easy monitoring of network issues and troubleshooting.
The tool was helpful and simple to use, aside from the connecting issues the employees are quite satisfied with the tool and services. Sometimes they rise concerns about the amount of resources the weber tool uses when in a videocall, even tending to freeze the computer. But those issues are not common and when raised are easily solvable
The main reason was the scalability and flexibility it offers, which allowed us to accommodate the organization growth and changes.
Another reason was the extensive collaboration tools. Quite powerful and almost always offering seamless communication that support mobile and remote access across various devices and locations all around the world.
