Overall Satisfaction with WinZip

We use WinZip on a daily basis to compress graphics files for easier
distribution amongst colleagues and clients, as well as archiving jobs. Having the ability to
compress entire job files in one place for archiving has allowed us to
save on our server and cloud space. It also removes all the clutter files
can typically contain when working with graphics. We use compression
with every job, and WinZip has served us well over the years.
  • Performing backups and cleanups of your files and directories.
  • integration with the Windows context menu.
  • Customization of Explorer integration.
  • Context menu or interface options.
  • Extra bundled features are not needed.
  • Too Many Notifications.
  • Subscription only.
  • POP up ads not warranted or needed.
  • The main impact is the speed of use. This allows a minimal amount of time needed for the function of compressing files. The quick time equates to being able to focus on other aspects of the job that truly bring in the money.
  • The bang for your buck is the biggie ROI. The amount of times the utility is used in a graphics company on a per-job, per-client, per-year basis makes the software cost next to nothing.
WinZip has been in my arsenal since the beginning and hasn't given me a reason to go elsewhere. The functions and features have always been there when I needed them.

Sending multiple mock-up images for client approvals via email. WinZip allows for higher resolution files as the file compression is great. I can keep files that normally are too big to email at a higher resolution. Compressing them into a .zip file and attached to an email is as simple as that. Email integration makes this task easy and effortless.
