Powerful tool, with powerful results!
Overall Satisfaction with Workfront
[Workfront is] used by our marketing, creative and compliance areas. We use it to manage input of new creative requests for marketing collateral. We can manage all aspects of the project, as well as shared updates and track progress. Our compliance partners use it as a central repository for approvals. As we are in financial services, having thoroughly documented processes is critical for audit purposes.
- Centralize projects in one solution
- Manage digital work processes
- Review and approve digital work
- Govern compliance workflows
Pros
- Easy to track the progress of the project - where we are managing well, and help to identify where we have challenges.
- One place, visible to all interested parties, to show what's in the queue and to track deadlines.
- Excellent reporting tools that allow us to quantify and share information on the projects coming through marketing, and how they support the overall success of the business. Being from an area of the company in which it's sometimes more difficult to prove that revenue that we drive directly, this tool allows us to demonstrate the value of that support.
Cons
- Being a creative, I feel like while the proofing tools are excellent, the workflow procedures when a job needs multiple rounds of revisions could be refined to flow more naturally.
- Some of our users struggle with knowing "where to put what" - that is, knowing where to add a document, a comment, an update. On the project level? On the task level? On the document level? It's something we've been trying to iron out.
- Browser compatibility. We still encounter some challenges with browser compatibility.
- We've long been operating without a process. Being able to define a workflow has been extremely helpful.
Our consultant, Chris Berry, was a extraordinary. He was always so helpful, amidst our many, many questions and speedbumps. He was available when we needed him and had a wonderfully positive attitude. It was a true pleasure to work with him. I was actually sad once we were fully implemented, because it meant that we wouldn't really need to interact as much.
