Overall Satisfaction with Workfront

It is being used by our marketing department. It is supposed to help with transparency within the organization and to help improve project traffic flow. It should implement our entire process from project initiation through review and production.
  • Very robust and can be flexible
  • Easy to organize many projects at one time
  • Can help facilitate complicated workflows
  • Better initial setup
  • Better initial training on processes
  • Confusing overlapping processes (multiple approval workflows on top of one another)
  • It has slowed productivity, but made us more focused on our process
  • It has increased transparency and highlighted bottlenecks
  • Our workflows are more rigid and followed
Workfront is much more robust and structured than Basecamp, but also can be more time consuming to get started. Basecamp is great for small quick teams, Workfront is good for long term projects with bigger departments or more individuals involved.
Workfront is well suited for marketing initiatives, creative review, legal and compliance review, centralizing projects and obtaining actionable, effective feedback. It can become complicated if you have lots of different workflows.
