Overall Satisfaction with Wrike

It is primarily used by my team, which consists of 6 users.
It's used to take the particulars of a request detailed in a web form and track the progress of fulfilling the request. The team is able to see the overall portfolio of work that needs to be maintained and track the iterations and changes over time.

It's been a while since we did the evaluation but what struck me was Wrike offered more flexibility to adjust to different scenarios.

It's well suited for users who are willing to spend time understanding how all the different options fit the context of the situation. It's not a 'cookie-cutter' solution that may be more appealing to those who are inexperienced in managing projects.

If you are involved in a number of initiatives/projects this tool allows you to prioritize your own work. I don't have to navigate across projects and transpose into another list. Tags offer the ability to generate my own view where I can figure out what to focus on in a given day.

Using Wrike

5 - Decision Support - development and maintenance of dashboards and other information that is used by stakeholders across a variety of domains
1 - For our use case the software requires almost not support. It's pretty much ready to go from the beginning. You just need to configure it and determine how the features are to be used for your workflows.

  • We didn't expect to use the forms as a way to interact with the stakeholders.
  • We've been able to integrate Gmail with Wrike which requires less friction in adding a new project instance.
  • The other potential idea is to expand the use to other parts of the organization for project management.
It fits the needs for our work, and there's no need to migrate our content to another app. It's reliable and I don't believe we've experienced any downtime. They continue to iterate the product and the new features have been useful including Workspaces which adds another means for organizing work.

The available features offer alot of flexibility in how it can be used for differrent situations.
If we make a change in how we do our work then the software can be modified accordingly.
I don't have any thoughts on how we would change our evaluation. We knew how we want to work and it was just a matter of finding the right fit.

Wrike Implementation

I would suggest there should be a collaborative effort in implementing the system. This collaboration informs the configuration and also the setup of how the features will be used to support workflow.
Change management was minimal - In our case I made sure we collaborated on how we could best leverage the functionality to fit our use case.

Wrike Support

They have been responsive. I had one incident where one tech person didn't understand the issue but overall it's been positive.

We don't need premium support as we can afford to wait for a resolution. Also I don't anticipate any issues so I don't think it's necessary.
Yes - Yes it was resolved fairly quickly. The turnaround time was affected more by trying to clarify the issue at hand.

Using Wrike

It's fairly intuitive. The challenge is just figuring out what you want to use so it can fit your workflow and approach to managing the portfolio of projects.

  • The workspaces assist in separating different types of work.
  • The only awkward part of the UI is when you are in a project entry, it can take an extra click to return from where you started from.
Yes - It works well. They've improved it quite a bit since we started using it.
