Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have used Xoom to transfer money internationally to family in Italy. It is one thing to transfer funds when you are in the United States, but it can be difficult for people abroad to receive money with traditional methods and Western Union can be a pain. Xoom allowed me to send money to family I have in Italy where they could get cash easily.

Xoom allowed me to send cash online to family rather easily in Italy to their bank account. This was cheaper than paying international wire fees from my bank. It was easier than contacting my local bank to set up a wire as well. The other advantage is my family was able to find a location to get cash directly once I had sent the money.
