Overall Satisfaction with Yubico YubiKeys
To authenticate to things like Okta, Entra ID in multiple regions, as well as OTP to OpenVPN both with yubicloud and greenradius
- Simple and complex OTP
- FIDO2 auth with major browsers
- End user instruction/videos for HOW to use Yubico YubiKeys and what each function actually does.

- Simpler authentication with MFA (ie doesn’t require us to get phone out) which means less time or frustration during critical events.
- Fewer support requests for app-based MFA.
- Easily meets all compliance requirements
Yubico YubiKeys have been used as long as we can remember. So the impact is probably a lack of authentication compromises where Yubico YubiKeys are enforced.
They are generally received well. However since we use a mix of FIDO2 and OTP, we often see end users confused as to how to use FIDO2 (IE Don’t understand that the PIN is the same anywhere the Yubico YubiKeys is used) since they are used to OTP. Short, dummy-proof explanation videos that can be provided with the Yubico YubiKeys when sent (like as a QR Code) would be really helpful.
