To me, the HubSpot CRM is an excellent choice for small to mid-size companies needing a CRM solution that is automatically integrated with their HubSpot tools, since it is a HubSpot tool. The price is perfect, since it is included with the portal license, and HubSpot has proven their commitment to continuously improve products and user experiences.If a person or company is a power user of Salesforce or other CRMs, it might not be the best fit, as it is still a new product, and features are still being developed; however, since it can be synced with other CRMs, including Salesforce, it may be useful to utilize both tools together, as it will help with your HubSpot reporting.

  • Campaign Builder (as good as other tools such as Mailchimp)
  • Pricing (pay per contact, not per email sent. AND email addresses can be added to multiple lists and only count as 1 contact, unlike Mailchimp which would consider that 2 contacts)

  • Emails are easy to create, customize, send, and analyze. I have used other platforms in the past, but HubSpot stands out from the pack.
  • The ability of segmentation into and out of workflows is a true powerhouse of HubSpot that gets left behind by most companies. This is where your tests, leads, and conversions come to meet, and you need to set your workflows up to make HubSpot truly automated.
  • I love the blogging platform on HubSpot, becasue you are able to check it as strongly as you would a landing page for optimization and there are endless layouts and functionality if you get creative with it.

  • I wish there were more social media platforms, like Instagram and Pinterest, on HubSpot's social media scheduler feature. The main four are there though: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Google +.
  • I wish the email previewer was faster to upload.
  • I think there is a need for the analytics to get a boost to compete with Google Analytics.

I've tried over half a dozen email autoresponders and ActiveCampaign is by far my favorite. The ability to send emails is the backbone of my business. The "cheap" email marketing tools designed for the mass market are not powerful or intuitive to set up and also don't have the best deliverability. And the "expensive" ones are usually super confusing to use.

It's super easy and fast to set up automations and email lists. In under five minutes, you can be mailing your list. I'm not a fan of complexity, and I'm also not a fan of being hamstrung by weak tools, so I really like using ActiveCampaign. It's the perfect blend of simplicity and power.

I've never had ActiveCampaign down for maintenance. I'm sure they update things, but they always seem to manage to stay live. Also, I've had very few errors, if any. None come to mind. This might be to due to the fact I focus on building things as simply as possible, but I also believe it's due to the quality of the software.

ActiveCampaign works seamlessly with the other tools I use. It integrates directly with most. And if no direct integration is available, there is almost always one you can make using Zapier. I've yet to run into a technical error that prevented me from doing something I wanted to be able to do.

I have only had to reach out to ActiveCampaign support a couple of times, and every time they have helped me out quickly and efficiently. They get back to you pretty quickly and usually have the solution figured out within just a couple of message exchanges. Please keep in mind I use the simple features of ActiveCampaign, so if there's a complication solution you're looking for help with, your experience with support might be a little different.

They were quick to respond to questions we had regarding the Hubspot system and would log in to our account directly to see exactly what we were seeing to help resolve issues.

They'd explain the solution so we could learn how and why. If something we were trying to do wasn't possible, they also explained how and why.

If your email marketing strategy is clunky and confusing then it doesn't matter what tool you use or need to set up. It will take time to set it up. However, if you favor simple and effective email marketing strategies then you'll find that setting up ActiveCampaign is a breeze. And the results you'll get with it will far outweigh the time it takes to set it up.

I selected ActiveCampaign in order to expand our possibilities for sales and exploration in marketing. We've used Emma as well for a long time, and honestly, I think I prefer the mail blast section of Emma/Campaign Monitor because I'm used to it and they have tons of great templates.

I've tried several of the email services available today. ActiveCampaign makes it easy and fast to get set up. And they have some of the best email deliverability available today as well. That's really important when it comes to email marketing, because winding up in spam or promotion folders makes your email marketing efforts and uphill battle.
