Ontraport offers a variety of plans to choose from based on the features needed. Pricing adjusts with the number of contacts in the database and users in the account. Monthly or annual plans are available, and all plans start with a 14-day free trial.
Ontraport offers a Done-With-You Setup and Training Package for getting set up in the account quickly. Users can also access a free video library with step-by-step instructions on getting started and using every feature of the platform.
I have used Ontraport, Infusionsoft, HubSpot, AWeber, GetResponse among several others. I believe that of these choices ActiveCampaign is by far the best option. It is easier to use, less expensive, delivers emails without issues and offers fantastic customer service. …
Prior to using ActiveCampaign, I was with Mailchimp. I found ActiveCampaign to be much more user friendly in terms of organizing lists and tags as well as creating automations and campaigns. It's a very intuitive system. Additionally, if you run into an issue or aren't quite …
ActiveCampaign specializes in email and that's what they do best. I've tried "all in one" platforms like Keap and Ontraport, which couldn't keep up with the details of email. Other competitors like ConvertKit and Mailchimp just didn't have the firepower necessary to do all the …
ActiveCampaign has a huge advantage over the other platforms in that there is enough power under the hood to offer the same automation as the other platforms but without creating a headache in the process of organizing it all. Mailchimp at its heart is still a freemium tool …
Others were either way overpriced, or way less user-friendly. The best value is ActiveCampaign. I felt like all other options I explored, (many more than listed), I felt like I couldn't get them up and running quickly enough, and I also felt ripped off by all of the other …
ActiveCampaign is one of the most robust marketing automation platforms available today and allows us to integrate with virtually all other marketing tools in our tech stack. When vetting a marketing automation software to support our clients, we did not like that other larger …
We selected Active Campaign because of the HIPAA compliance. We also enjoyed the fact that we’d get design services and a dedicated account rep when we went with the enterprise plan. When we were searching and getting demos, we just found that Active Campaign was the easiest to …

Chose ActiveCampaign
I like ActiveCampaign for the ease of use, and price performance. It does allow me to manage multiple lists, tags, and segment tags. The only real down side of using it is that I can't use landing pages and other, more complex funnel components directly within the software.
I think ONTRAPORT is a decent platform for smaller companies to grow into. It's not as complex as Infusionsoft, and I do feel like you'll use more of it than you would Infusionsoft as a business owner and marketer. I probably wouldn't recommend it to a startup, though because …
They are all different. HubSpot is great but doesn't have the checkout and sales tools. Active Campaign Rocks, but it doesn't have sales and checkouts. Infusionsoft has everything like Ontraport but the support is not where it should be and you have to invest in 3rd party addon …
Task management was the main thing that separated ONTRAPORT for me. Keeping things accountable. As well, I felt the campaign builder was slicker, and that the contact management was more robust. Custom fields are very customizable.

I've been using ActiveCampaign since around 2018-2019 and I've always been satisfied with the software. It's simple to use, connects with the other tools I use and makes it easy for me to duplicate automations, email templates and workflows as I need to. On top of that, any time I've had an issue (which I think is around twice in the past 5/6 years), the customer service has always been super helpful and my issue has been resolved quickly.
Our Integrated/brand marketing and Lifecycle marketing teams find monday CRM to be particularly useful for project management. Integrated marketing uses monday to build out our yearly promotional calendar, which keeps the entire company informed on all the launch and sale details for the year, across both retail and digital channels. The Lifecycle marketing team uses monday CRM to track individual campaign projects, mainly consisting of email asset creation. There are times when monday is not the preferred CRM platform, such as data and analytics tracking, project performance tracking, or scenarios when immediate feedback is required.
Here are some cases where Ontraport is well suited : - When writing emails, you can easily access to preview, manage the changes and go back to what you did before - When using automations, if there's an error, you can go back to a previous version of it. There are also some super tools that allows to see where a clients is on an automation without having to go through the all automation. It is less appropriate when you are several colleague that are addressing an issue on an email/automation as it doesn't allows you to be multiple person on the item.
Collects and filters emails from various lead magnets exceptionally well (especially if a user wants to re-sign up to the same lead magnet and go through it again, they can)
Super easy to use email creation that is aesthetically pleasing and user friendly
Easy email sequences and user classification from a large range of opt in trigger options
It took me a while to get to understand where to find things, and I used a free online course from a consultant who specialises in AC to help me get the foundations set up more easily. That said, there were lots of onboarding workshops, which were good. It just felt like it required a lot of different angles of learning to just get started.
The customer support took longer than other software to get back to me via email, though once I found the chat option for my most recent query, that was fast.
I've ended up switching to another programme where more software is more naturally integrated, and the AC equivalent is included in the price, along with many other types of software. However, design-wise, ActiveCampaign is much better.
I also had a problem with a form used on my WordPress website, which has a BuddyBoss platform - the colours on the form would be overridden by colour choices for the website, so they were hard to read (pink text on purple background instead of the gold text it was meant to be)
I couldn't always find the templates I was looking for or how to access them for automation-based emails. I think when I used it, there was a new type of template for newsletters that weren't available for automations, so I had to recreate it, which added time.
It takes a while to get used to the UX if you are used to Hubspot or another CRM
We are still testing mass email functionality, it's a little less intuitive vs Hubspot
The quote/invoice forms are not pre-built into the CRM the way they are in Hubspot, so you have to manually set those up. Some might see that as a positive thing because it's more flexible with your respective tech stack, but it required more research on our end to make sure we set it up to flow efficiently.
I am committed at the moment. Rebuilding the automations I have would be a huge time drain. Plus the cost of learning a new system and the risk to deliverability of porting a 6,000 person list to a new platform. Also, AC offers everything I need ast a reasonable (but a little high) price. So, why not a 10? Because, early 2023, AC dropped a massive 2x price hike on long-term customers. They knew few would shift, so this feels like a cynical cash grab and left a bad taste, If they do something like this again, this camel will have a broken back.
My client was already using Ontraport and had a decent investment in the tool. As soon as we turn around the revenue situation with my client's products, we will be ditching OAP immediately, despite the significant re-implementation cost we are going to face moving to a new system. I am part of a high-end, professional marketing group, and the overwhelming sentiment with these other professionals is that one should run away from this as fast as humanly possible. I thought their words were just ungrounded opinion, and I deeply regret that I did not heed them more closely before sinking still more time and effort into OAP.
ActiveCampaign has been the easiest marketing automation software we have ever used. They provide tips throughout the entire process of anything you are building. Their support team through LIVE CHAT has been extremely fast and helpful. The monthly meetings provided with the enablement team has helped us through several large and urgent needs.
It's a really easy to use and improve tool, that helps you to quickly master its functions and then helps you to improve the features usage as quickly as you learned the basis. Any doubts you have are easily solved by the contents and tutorials it provides, and if it doesn't solve it, the team is always quick to reply and help you.
The software is just easy to use. The UI is fairly intuitive. The help system is pretty good. I find it is pretty quick to get my work completed and if I don't document my things well, I can always figure out how I did something when I need to make changes. When I have a problem the tech support is easy to deal with and when things need to get escalated they are resolved quickly.
I haven't experienced application errors or unplanned outages at all. Active Campaign is ultra reliable and I would not be using them if that were the case. Also, the helpful emails they send are welcomed and informative, and present very practical tips and guidance for using the platform. They're always demonstrating new features and I'm thankful for that.
Oh my gosh, Active Campaign's performance gets an A+++ in my book. The pages load quickly and so do the reports. I haven't noticed any slowdowns when it's integrating with other programs and it performs excellently on all levels.
Most of the time OP runs fine. But I've had to submit more support tickets this year do to messages, seq.'s or rules not running correctly. Also experienced slow response times moving in and around OP.
This might be the best part. The chat support lady offered to make a video to help me solve my problem. I worked in customer service for years and I've never done that, lol. So, if they're offering things like that, I can only imagine that they'd be able to handle most any issue you throw at them.
When I have requested customer service from monday.com account the person who I spoke with was really helpful but the set up to get a hold of someone in customer service was a little complicated and time-consuming. I had to get a ticket in an email and then wait for a specific person to call me back at a certain time, that's why I gave a six.
The techs are reasonably savvy, highly courteous and want to do right by their customers. Unfortunately, the product they are supporting is so deeply flawed that there's only so much they can do when your legitimate business requirements are simply not supported.
Very satisfied with our implementation in our professional medical practice, allowing us to be on top of client service, and not miss out on crucial information and insights. Marketing is often neglected in professional practices and ActiveCampaign solved this problem with aplomb.
I moved to ActiveCampaign from Mailchimp. Admittedly, I was using the free version of Mailchimp, but I had numerous episodes of subscriber data NOT being added to Mailchimp, despite using API to integrate with my mailing list. Obviously, I couldn't pay for clicks and not capture subscriber data, so I had to find something else. ActiveCampaign has been 100% reliable in testing.
Monday is significantly better. Not only is it more aesthetically pleasing it is just better overall. I feel as if Monday has a better system in regard to keeping track of all the files we have. Moreover, I also feel like the fact that it allows me to tag my other coworkers enables me to have better communication in the office.
Task management was the main thing that separated ONTRAPORT for me. Keeping things accountable. As well, I felt the campaign builder was slicker, and that the contact management was more robust. Custom fields are very customizable.
My web designer told me about Active Campaign and although I don't recall which platform I had before, I LOVE Active Campaign and its user friendliness. The transition was seamless and I've never had a problem with functionality or server failure.
Active Campaign provides so many features, and makes it easy for non-techies to maneuver around the site with ease. They capture information and put it in an easy-to-read format.
At this point, I don't think I'd ever use any other platform!
I feel since we integrated to monday CRM, that the speed of our invoicing rate has increased, due to the easier navigation monday CRM provides.
Communication with other peers & departments has become easier to reach out since we all share this platform and able to tag the needed person.
We are also able to view and give reports easier to our VP's/ higher up, providing visibility and graphs of our trending sales numbers categorized by each store with different sales type.
We are providing better customer service as a direct result of Ontraport. We can track where all of our customers are, what pages/sites/modules they are visiting with ease and tailor our communication accordingly.
Our marketing funnel has become vastly improved, meaning that our ROI for marketing has gone up. Sales this April are double what they were last year.
Our team works better together because we all have a better idea of what the other needs and when. The tasks that we can assign in Ontraport mean nothing gets missed, creating a better customer and employee experience.
