Avast CloudCare vs. Metasploit

Avast CloudCare is great when it comes to ease of installation and GUI. Working inside the web portal is pretty self-intuitive. Some of the issues revolve around computers coming up missing from the portal or from computer jumping sites.

It is easy to use with sufficient documentation on how to use the tools for end users or newbies. Experienced testers will find it easy to customise and configure the test cases. Just wished that I could have taken up a course on using this tool in my study days so that I could had explored more and improved my familiarity with the tool, unlike when working where access and time to explore the other features of the tool is limited

We used to use Norton AV exclusively for all our business and home users, but it got to where it was using a lot of system resources and would slow down some computers. We selected Avast cloud care since it was a lighter weight program and provided great results as far as protection.

Metasploit is an all around good suite of tools to test and validate potential vulnerabilites. Other tools have bits and pecies such as Nmap, Nessus, Burp Suite, etc. but Metasploit can function in the same way but more.

• Avast CloudCare has stopped one of our customers for downloading a virus.
• Reporting on immediate threats so we could deal with the issue before it infected the network.
• Was alerted of an issue and was able to set a full scan on the entire network with one function.

• If you prevent an attack you will save a lot of money.
• There is a free version that has a lot of useful exploits.
• You can run it in an open source OS.
