ClickUp was the best option for us given its low price, ease of use, and clean appearance. We moved from Zoho Projects, which was functional, but required advanced development knowledge to fully customize. Zoho Projects also was not as attractive or easy to use as ClickUp has …
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp stands out against both monday.com and Wrike primarily due to its superior flexibility and comprehensive work management toolkit. While monday.com offers an intuitive interface and Wrike provides strong enterprise features, ClickUp delivers a more versatile all-in-one …
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp allows for a lot more customization, so power users will be happy. But with a lot of customization comes more options, so users have to be wary when setting up projects to not overcomplicate them.
Chose ClickUp
Love how ClickUp allows tasks to be opened in their own little window, where you can then see additional info. monday.com forced us to have every field visible as a column, which lead to really complicated and difficult to navigate boards. ClickUp's Lists are cleaner, more …

Out of all the listed products I have used when it comes to project/product management ClickUp has been the most intuitive when it comes to user interface and functions. New functions and further development takes place regularly and the company is listening to its community …

ClickUp is advanced enough to support power users and project management professionals, while flexible enough to allow users with fewer requirements to get the job done in the same tool, and the same space.

ClickUp is quickly moving up the ranks to surpass other project management software options that aren't readily available to whole teams. For the past two years, I've witnessed close competition between ClickUp and monday.com for the top spot as the foremost emerging project …

For us, ClickUp was the happy medium between the extensive features offered by Jira (but at an exorbitant cost) and the more modern feel of something like Asana and Trello but with fewer features. ClickUp has really taken all the best features from all these apps and put it …
Chose ClickUp
Hands down, ClickUp is far superior to O365 largely because it empowers the users of the system to create an organization system that works for them. There are so many tools and integrations across the ClickUp platform and they truly have thought of every possibility when it …
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp's learning curve is very low vs. other tools, but it's only suitable if you need some complexity in your task organisation. If it's only for a simple list with tasks, there are other solutions to look at.

Very well. There is no comparison as it;s simple to use.

Those tools are very complicated

I personally like Azure more but my current team does not do any development work ourselves and thus we thought it would be inappropriate. I find Jira to be a bit less flexible than ClickUp, though both require a certain level of learning. People moving from Jira or Azure to …
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp's hierarchy is a big selling point, but they truly are as close to an all-in-one productivity platform as you can find!
Chose ClickUp
ClickUp is more customizable than any of these other apps that I have worked with. Asana is great, but it has some serious limitations if you are working with a team, including assigning multiple people to a task. The pricing is also much better than the other options.
Chose ClickUp
For smaller organizations it's my #1!
For larger and more complex user needs I generally lean towards Salesforce.
But overall and even for personal use I recommend ClickUp. The fact they are always trying to improve their platform and offerings gives them leg up in my books. I …

For us, ClickUp is a more powerful tool compared with Notion. For example, to track time in ClickUp we just have to open the project task tab and start the time tracking. In Notion to track time we had to enable additional integrations and browser extensions with third parties …

I would say that ClickUp provides a tool for some that is exactly what they need. Monday may provide that for others, and Asana, Trello, and Dubsado may provide the answers many are looking for. I think it comes down to personal needs, preference, and also cost for many. For …

ClickUp is well suited to organize projects and communicate internally with teams members and externally with clients or vendors. If you need to track emails, any emails responded to from an email sent within ClickUp is automatically tracked within the task where it originated. It also works great for storing document files within projects and tasks and tracking multiple versions of documents created or copied within ClickUp

Microsoft 365 would be well suited for medium to large enterprises. This is where there are several hundreds or thousands of people. Since most everyone has used one of the applications the learning curve would be reduced. Another reason would be the ability to implement security measures to prevent access to sensitive data. This could justify the cost of an Enterprise license.

My work involves projects of 5-15 people with numerous projects running simultaneously. Prior to Zoho, I did not have a central location from which to view all project statuses at once. Zoho looks to provide this and also looks like it will deliver. I am anxious to see how our organization's use of it develops. At this time, I feel I am likely to recommend Zoho Projects because my organization has made great software decisions in the past so I have a level of trust already that the research has been done that Zoho is the best solution for our line of work.

Pros
ClickUp
  • Customization is huge for us! We do not have the aspects of standard project management, so having the ability to customize basically everything in ClickUp is amazing.
  • An outstanding free version of the software! We are a small nonprofit organization that cannot afford the robust levels of other software, so having access to SO MUCH for free is incredible.
  • The layout and organization of tasks, Spaces, folders, etc. is perfect. I love how I can see which task all of my subtasks belong to on my dashboard. And the option to change colors and icons for everything also really appeals to my obsessive brain.

  • Chat with teams and the integrations with the other apps, and many more smaller ones, like to-dos, news, and the recent Outlook integration.
  • Easy embedding on SharePoint to broadcast all the content created in the different tools.
  • The office package is still robust with the good things from the past and new additions.

  • We use it to manage our sales orders as there are lots of moving parts which are necessary to get client orders done properly.
  • I use it anytime I have a new idea I want to put into motion. As I can create a list for brainstorming, feedback, specific actions necessary in order to test and or implement the idea.
  • Unrelated to business, it's a great way to plan travel in order to make sure you don't forget those important things like passport, flight arrangement, client meeting confirmation, and meeting prep as far as what specific documents or things do you need to bring with you.
  • And since everyone is on the go and expected to keep up with work, the mobile/tablet app makes it a breeze to keep up, work on, and create new projects.

Cons
ClickUp
  • I would like to see when scheduling a task for someone, their available hours, as I am scheduling instead of having to go back to the workload view
  • I'd like easier UX and understanding of what all of the different levels of folders, lists, tasks, can do and what they should be used for
  • Notifications can be cleaned up

Microsoft
  • Forms lack comprehensive features and parameters for detailed questioning for example cannot be directly linked with Power BI
  • Outlook email filters are not handy to use and require more detailing in terms of location past emails
  • Teams requires substantially large amounts of system resources which could be finetuned

  • There is no ability to add custom fields in the "Bugs" module - for example, if we want to add fields such as Version Number.
  • Reporting is not integrated - its a fairly expensive add-on.
  • There is no easy way to track actual and completed dates for tasks - so historical variance analysis is not easy.

Usability
ClickUp
Because for me, working with teams, ClickUp has provided a service that we longed for. Something that is non-complicated and easy to maneuver. We understand the learning curve can be steep, but we are willing to give the software a chance because it is everything we hoped it would be. However, leadership found the project works for our organization at this time. Moreover, we can customize to our needs.

The speed of ClickUp is average to be honest. This is one of the biggest flaws of the system, sometimes it's also lagging a little bit but we also have a lot of documents, lists etc. on our workspace. However, with the next version of ClickUp I've seen they are planning to increase the speed by almost 500%, probably by changing the technology, so I am more than looking forward to it.

The Microsoft 365 tools expects and demands a substantial amount of system resources to operate at optimal level and even more when integrated with other applications which is a downside, however given that external supporting tech factors such as fibre/broadband speed bandwidth, high speed RAM and ample storage resources are allocated the tools work error free providing robust communication

I started using ClickUp when it was what most would consider a baby company. There were the occasional bugs that made working in ClickUp a little bit of a headache, but the support feature allowed me to chat with a real persona and communicate my issues. I would always get prompt support and someone willing to really help me, not just point me to FAQ pages. Not feeling like a number really makes a difference.

Over the past 8 years of using Microsoft 365, I have noticed that they change vendors often. This always leads to a poor experience in the beginning, then levels out after some time for the company to get things worked out. As a customer, it is really frustrating because I don't have time when something isn't working to have them "look into my issue" and get back with me. They have even closed a ticket I specifically told them to keep open. Your applications are only as good as the support.

The standard training offered with 3rd part resellers are fairly standard and covers the basic workability however the trainings needs to be specifically customised according to unique requirements of the organizations. for example an MSP would need to master specific communications verticals within Microsoft 365 whereas and online store using Microsoft 365 would needs to master a different set of tools within the suite to get the best ROI post implementation.

Start small. Don’t try to build the most elaborate plans first. Resist the urge to get into Gantt charts if no one is used to them. Just get work written, add dates and assignees, and start getting used to it. If you did not use a work management tool before, you need to be gracious with yourself about the fact that you likely do not have the muscle memory for working this way yet. But you will get there.
And leverage people who know it if possible. Look for ClickUp experts and vendors. They can really supercharge your effectiveness at building the tool out and speed up the process.

  • We have a lot of nonprofit users, so they have a good ROI.
  • I like the constant updates without having to purchase the software repeatedly.
  • I used to purchase each Office (insert year here) often, so the software was up to date and had the newest options and connectors. I think my return on investment would have been much better if Microsoft had updated those versions to keep them current; after all, we did pay for them.
  • Microsoft 365's offering a monthly fee or a discount for a year helps, and you can look at it as a free backup if you have everything set to back up to One Drive. (Cloud-based document filing you can access anywhere ( with an internet connection)—you Can't beat that!)
